Only spent one night here, but very worth it! Traditional Japanese Ryokan complete with several (incl private) onsens, free for guests. Run by a lovely old couple who spoke no English but took great care to look after us and make us feel at home. Breakfast (Japanese) included in the price too! Were driven to the snow monkey park for free by staff in the morning! Definitely worth a visit!

Seifu-so was an excellent place to stay at: a cozy, traditional japanese style ryokan with several onsens, one rotenburo (very nice!) and very good food. The host family is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our 3-day stay in every aspect. Yudanaka itself is a small town surrounded by mountains and thus an ideal place for relaxation. There\'s not much to do in terms of sightseeing, except the monkey park which is a must to see. We were quite content with eating well,...

Seifu-so is the best accomodation we found in Japan! The staff are close nit Ozeki family who went out of their way to help us. The traditional ryokan and onsen are fantastic. The baths at Sefiu-so are the perfect temperature and very beautiful. While in town we also tried the best soba in Japan and sumo food at the reccomendation of the Ozeki's. While there check out the Monkey park and canon.

The proprietor\'s friendliness and hospitality more than makes up for the somewhat dated facility (its heyday was likely in 1975.) They owner drove us directly to the Jigokudani Monkey Park (the main local attraction), cooked us a fantastic traditional Japanese breakfast, and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable -- even serving us sake shots in the hotel\'s own \"onsen\" hot spring! We had a great stay.

Yudanaka Seifu-so was definitely worth the price. The accommodation was lovely, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the meals were delicious! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place to anyone. Check out the onsen, it's fantastic!
