Really nice hostel and really good hospitality!
Great hostel, amazing atmosphere because of living area styled by artist, very cozy! Clean shower and bathroom, fully equiped kitchen.
Great hostel! Friendly staff, clean facilities and well located. Highly recommended!
This was my second time staying at the Yume Nomad. Friendly staff and guests, great location, and comfortable. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
The owner and staff are really friendly! Had a few nights chatting with them and it was a blast. Really convinient as it is close to 3 important metro lines (~10mins from Sannomiya city centre, ~40mins from arima onsen, 5mins walk to the metro to get to osaka). Wish I could stay in kobe for longer!
The owner is a super friendly women who is more than willing to assist in recommending places to go. There are also multiple homemade guide books and maps to further assist in finding things to do. Rooms are a bit small and the beds are on the thin side, but those are minor complaints. The decoration of the common areas brings a warm Gemuetlichkeit to the hostel. Location is great, extremely close to a couple subway stations. Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful time at Yume Nomad. The staff were gracious, helpful , friendly and hospitable. They went the extra mile in offering us assistance to our enquiries and travel needs. Our room was clean, comfortable and our beds very comfortable. The atmosphere of the hostel was welcoming and lively. I would highly recommend Yume Nomad to any one planning a visit to Japan and we would stay with you again if we are ever back in Kobe. The Jazz at Sone will entice us back! Kind regards Peter H
A little out of the main downtown area, but easy to get to on the metro- near a bunch of stations. The hostel has a list of nearby places to eat, divided up by type of food and the hostel is next door to a grocery store. There is a fridge and kitchen available for use and lockers in the main entrance.
Met more staff than other guests, but the staff were all awesome -- friendly & interesting people, helpful with recommendations for Kobe. Bathroom was en suite for a 4 person dorm, but honestly would have preferred a common bathroom -- en suite was a little cramped and had to worry about keeping other roommates waiting. Lots of well-compiled info on all sorts of things to do / see / eat in Kobe, and generally a lot of character to the place! Conveniently located from subway.
The location is great and the staff is friendly. However, the facility is a little bit old and there were constructions going on the next early morning.
Would of been nice to have a little heads up on the building work that started early in the morning but apart from that its was pleasant.
Stay here was fine. I opted for a private room and had the choice of 2 and chose one upstairs that was away from the common area. Some of the rooms are very close to the common area and kitchen which I imagine would get a little noisey in the evenings. Room was as expected for the money, clean and tidy. No issues there. There were lockers and a baggage area if you needed to check in early or leave stuff there the day you check out while you wander around. Staff were helpful and friendly.
I loved this hostel. It has been one of my all time favorite ones I've stayed at. It is 2 minutes from a metro that takes you directly to Sanyomiya. If you like walking, nothing is more than a few kilometers away. The staff is not only incredibly friendly and talkative, but really helpful. They even have binders and maps on Kobe and other areas. The hostel itself is really clean, and has a lovely set up with a kitchen, terrace, Japanese and western style living rooms. Stay a nightsat Yume Nomad

Had a decent time here. It was an interesting hostel, it felt more European than Japanese. Except for everybody being Japanese. I hung out there the next day and used the wifi and kitchen and they were fine with it.
This hostel was a little hidden coming at night on top but was found across from the Family mart on a hill. The place was pretty chilled and the location is about 10 minutes walk from Kobe station which is good to hope to Hemeji. A number of shop, stores and restaurants are near as well. I would stay here again when I come through again.
Great place! Very nice stuff, helpful maps and info and the atmosphere is very cool. Good kitchen, shared area with paints, guitar, place to hang with others. The rooms are comfterable, each dorm has toilet and bathroom. Very good price! It is a walk from the main station, but the directions were helpful. Recommended :)
Pretty good hostel for the price, bedrooms were a little shabby but all en-suite so can't really complain! Slightly out of the center but easily walkable in 30mins or so, the local area has some good cheap places to eat as it's less touristy. Lovely tatami living space with games available.
Wonderful hostel in Kobe, easy walking distance to transport, restaurants and sights, in a beautiful building. Lovely staff and plenty of great information available about the local area. Fantastic communal living area and great kitchen.
Really cozy place, staff was helpful, value for money is really good! ! 4bed dorm with own toilet &shower. ..deluxe! ;-)
