This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at! It was very welcoming and clean, and the staff were friendly from the beginning. The walls and doors are painted and decorated with fun colors and it gave the place a fresh and alive atmosphere. The rooms were extremely clean, and the 4 person mixed room had its own shower and toilet, both of which were also clean. The attached coffee shop/living room was equally friendly and bright. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

The staff were ever so helpful, and that made the the experience all the better, the beds were a little rickety but overall it was a great place to stay.

This was an excellent place to stay in Kobe. The staff were super helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the common spaces were especially nice. Felt more like a home.

This is a real place of character. We had a twin single room with our own bathroom. Honestly even with our aircon which seemed to do nothing, we still had a lot of fun at this place - it could have been all the Asahi we had but we enjoyed the old atmosphere of the place. It was freezing cold this night and sleeping on mats was a bit of an experience - but if you want to feel a little traditional, come and visit this place.

There are only 4 hostels in Kobé. I don't know about the others, but I STRONGLY advise u to have a look at this one. 5 minutes from subway station. The place is beautiful, tastefully decorated. Dorms are nice, with private bathrooms. There is a kitchen, a Japanese living-room, a nice terrace and a café. From 3 pm to 10 pm, there is a coffee-master (very passionated guy, u'll enjoy talking with him), who'll prepare u nice coffee beverages. Atmosphere here is very cosy and relaxing. Enjoyable !

This is a lovely hostel with really great hosts. Our family (3kids between the ages of 3-7) spent 3 nights here. It is clean, comfortable and has a good kitchen and living room area. The hosts were really nice and helpful. We loved it!

The room was cold. We had air conditioning but didn't work well. The staff was friendly.

The location is near subway station but there is a short staircase in front of hostel. If you carry a large luggage, you need to be careful. The owner of hostel is very nice and the room is comfortable. Also, the common area is with both Japanese and Western styles. It looks very great.

Staff were so friendly and helpful! The place is creatively decorated. There's a cafe joined to the hostel, with freshly roasted coffee! Facilities are great. Wonderful place!

A nice hostel a little off the central area. The staff was incredibly nice and does speak pretty good english. We even got invited for food and sake in the evening. The common room is nice and our room was quite spacious (it even had a bathtub!1!). You can get a great variety of food right next to the hostel, make sure to give the Japanese-BBQ a try! You can just ask the staffmembers for their recommendations :-)

Only fault I can think of is it's location. If you are using the JR Pass like I was, the closest JR station is Kobe Station which is about a 8minute walk. Also It's location in general is towards the west so accessing anything on the east side takes some time. Other than that this place is great, staff are extremely friendly with basic usable English. Facilities are very clean and each room gets their own Bathroom. The common area is very cosy and is equipped with a coffee / bar. Will stay again

Nice hostel with a cool cafe attached to it. Location is a bit away from the centre of Kobe - it's in the red light district.
