The staff, it's really friendly. They also help every guest to join, to know each other together. Best community hostel that I ever stay! :D

Simple, basic, but clean, and largely sufficient for me as I was out all day during my 3 night stay (they were nice enough to add 1 night to the 2 that I had officially booked online). Appreciated the free coffee-making facilities, unlimited cold and hot water, and some unexpected extras: beach mats and umbrellas! The lady was helpful and chatty, the older man rather sullen, and the younger one seemed to direct his warmth and smiles only towards the young guests!

I had a good stay. The people there that I met were a lot of fun to hang out with and it's location -walking distance from the beach was great! Sam was so friendly and helpful with everything. He really wanted people to have a good time and got them to interact and join in on activities. My bed was very creaky but other than that, the lodging was fine.

Awesome hostel - great location even though it's a bit south of the main beach (Pantai Cenang). Sam, the hostel staff is a riot. Great hostel, good price, comfortable beds, and just a 5 minute walk from the beach. What more could you want?

I was pleasantly surprised by the triple I stayed in with two other friends, considering what we paid -- it was very clean, had an ensuite bathroom, and had aircon. It was fairly roomy, too. The location was good, and there was a nice atmosphere: it was chock full of other visitors and there were cheap drinks available for sale in the common area. And really cheap! The management was helpful too, with some exceptions.

Excellent value for money, the rooms were a decent size and were cleaned every day with fresh towels.every second day, great for the price paid. About a 15 minute walk to cenang but there are some nice restaurants and cafes nearby and its right beside tengah beach

Enjoyable stay, in tiny fan room. Waterpump/ aircon noisy. Despite initial reservations, made to feel quite welcome and finally enjoyed my stay. Would recommend.

I really liked Zackry's. The woman on the desk (sorry forgot name) made an effort to talk to us and introduce us to other guests. If there's enough interest they'll arrange trips around the island and they even prepare a meal some nights. Private room was simple but clean. Would return if we were to revisit Langkawi

Had a great time @ Zackrys! A few walking minutes to the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. In the evening the bar was the place to be, everyone was welcome it was easy to have a nice chat and a cold beer. Great Place!

The rooms were clean. Chilled water tea and coffee and a small kitchen and lockers are provided. The bar is also very good value for Langkawi, most other budget places and didn't have these facilities. Although it is about 30min walk away from most of the bars at Pantai Cenang, it only costs 6-10MYR in a taxi and the cheaper room price and extra facilities make up for it. The beach, Pantai Tengah is beautiful and cleaner than Cenang. But my room had a strange smell and no bars on window.

Good budget hostel in Langkawi. This was my second time staying here and it has improved even more since the last time. Bit out of town but other than that it's perfect. Recommended.

I loved my single room here, it had a desk and a bookcase to put my stuff on and the toilet and washbasin was just outside the door. The kitchen was adequate, enough to cook simple meals which was great. A gas ring, toaster and fridge and lots of tables and chairs. The girl there was very helpful and introduced me to people. The beach was a short walk away and there were enough shops and eating places. No local bus so didn't explore further which was a shame.

We received a hearty welcome here and were in the bar within 10 minutes of arriving, Sam was an excellent barman and we all ended up going clubbing at Sunba's down the road every night. Me and my friend were so lazy on this trip we forgot to ask if we could stay all week and it was fully booked but managed to squeeze in an extra night in a triple room. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Sam hosts regular poker nights - not my thing so if you dont play - learn!

Met loads of great people. The bar man Sam is brilliant. He is lots of fun and organises poker games for everyone to join in. It is good to get everyone involved. The hostel also organises trips for you and they get you a discount when ever they can! This place is a little gem. I have traveled the world but I can honestly say that this is the best hostel I have ever stayed in!
