Excellent Location and very good value for Langkawi. The staff were brilliant and helpful and fun

good location just 5 min from the beach and in rather quiet surroundings. Room was clean and good value for money. Some friendly dogs and a self-confident duck add to the overall good expression. the only things that spoils it is the very grumpy owner who tries hard (and successfully) to behave unfriendly and not to smile. If you ignore him, I guess it's a good place to stay.

This guesthouse is exactly as I expected. They advised that I could only check in between 3pm and 4pm; but, I arrived shortly after 2 and there was no problem in checking in. Sam is a great character, make sure you take the time to talk to him. Zackry is a man of few words; but, friendly nonetheless. I really enjoyed my stay here, I had a single room with a shared bathroom, it was pleasant, clean and I met some great people here. If I ever manage to make it back to Langkawi, I will return.

Chill place, usually chosen by people who want to... chill ;) The staff is extremely discreet but helpful upon asking. The whole thing is kept clean at all times, which is nice.

This was a really quirky little place. The rooms were good size with a decent bathroom. The general cleanliness was very good however we did find signs of bed bugs but it looked like it had been treated.The bar area is very social and good place to meet other travellers. The place is in a really good location, enough distance to get to the busy restaurant and bar area at night but far enough to be away from the noise. It is also a short walk (about 10mins) to a slightly less busy beach as well.

I loved this place. Had a great time there.

Very friendly staff with a laid-back atmosphere. We found the location to nice and quiet and beach access is 5 minutes walk.

I don't want to mention, but it is really true that the boss is very nice but only to beauties. The house is big and clean. There is a communal area with quite a lot of seats and free tea and coffee. Free wifi is also provided. Cheap compared to other hotels or guest house in Lnagkawi.

Adore the dogs. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and clean. Free wifi and coffee and tea, and lots of books to help you past the time when it rains, and it sure rain a lot when I was in langkawi. You can also borrow a mat for the beach which is great ( too bad I didn't get to use it due to the rain ).

Had lots of fun here! It was clean & Zach put on a free dinner for us which was magic!

The rooms were really clean and for the money quite good.. The owner needs a big attitude adjustment!

We initially booked 3 nights and stayed for 6, it was a cool, laid back hostel with honesty bar and super cheap beers anyway! Our room did smell a little of damp/wet dog but this was easily forgotten as the beds were so comfy and the air con oh so powerful! The owner was a little abrupt but his wife ws nice and Sam the barman, totally made our stay! Such a friendly guy who took us out sightseeing and to cheap eateries and was always up for a laugh. Met awesome people there, definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed the stay in Zackry Guest House. Staff was very nice to me, I love their dogs :-D Location is also good. Nice, clean, friendly place, which is not expensive. If I go to Langkawi next time, I will choose Zackry Guest House again.

Great place to stay. Will come back.
