There was an issue with the site and what the hotel had written down. We had booked a triple room according to hostelworld.com for $50 USD but the hotel had us in a double and told us it would be $75 for 3 people. I don't know if this was fault on hostel world or the hotel.

Bed is narrow and short. No wifi. Toilet was not cleaned. Room was dirty and damp and extremely small. Door and windows seemed like they could easily be pushed open. Massively overpriced. Should be 20-25 usd for a double.

The best thing is LOCATION, it is in a good part of the city. The rooms are simple but confortable. There is humidity on the walls of the room and some of the bathrooms may be quite small. There is air conditioning in the room. Breakfast is included and it is quite nice. The lodge, as well as some other places on the island, dont accept old dollar bills. They must be 2001 or up.Change them in the island to get better rate. Dont accept taxi from hotel, you will pay extra 5 dollars. We enjoy it.

We rented 2 rooms, in one of them the bed was too short for a normal European human... Not clean rooms, there were old hairs from former guest lying around, we saw 2 cocroaches and it smelled like fungus. The breakfast was not good, we ended up going out for it instead. The only good things about the stay was the aircon and friendly staff. I would not recommend it.

The hostel is in the heart of Stone Town but its hard to find due to the narrow alleyways. The room was small and the ensuite is a shower head over the toilet but it was good enough as most of the time you will be out exploring the town.

Good location, but the rest is all very average. Bathroom was very much in need of a renovation and all the light switches looked so dirty I didn't really want to touch them. Room itself was small but ok, with AC, fan and mosquito net.

Very friendly staff, perfect location with market, restaurants and bars nearby, nice roof top. I was very happy with my stay there!

The room initially seemed lovely, but the hot water didn't work, nor did the bathroom light bulb stay in its fitting, and the shower flooded the whole bathroom, so it was a cold, wet, dark shower situation! The bed and mozzie nets were good. When we arrived for breakfast there was no space on the one table, nor any chairs to sit on. We stood around waiting for 10 minutes to be acknowledged before we gave up and went out to eat elsewhere! The staff spoke minimal English. Good location.

Just a small hotel, less than 9 rooms, real basic, with basic breakfast. Security seemed a bit lax (Front door left unlocked, front desk unmanned). Really only OK for an overnight.

Great location, but can be a little hard to find at first in the winding streets of Stone Town. Staff are very helpful and friendly, facilities pretty good with free WiFi and 24 hour access. Would highly recommend this place.
