Nice location, very close to good places to eat and walk, Make sure you bring you own Matches, Oil, Sugar, Salt, etc. or you will end up buying 1L of oil and 1kg of salt to cook 2eggs for breakfast, Most of the hostels think of this things, but not them, You have to take turns to cook, and eat, there isn't too much room to do it. The staff is nice, they are very reliable, if you don't have too much time to spend in CPT this Hostel can save a lot of walking, it's next to everything you need.

Stacey and Bronwyn were exremely helpful, polite and cheery as were the other staff. Great pots of coffee in the morning got our days off to an excellent start. Hasn't got the party atmosphere of other hostels which means you can get a good nights sleep but still a great place to meet other travellers and enjoy a social drink if you want.

The only weakness was that there were no safes or lockers in the dorm. I enjoyed the variety of people I met there, location and that it a relaxing and quiet at 1230am type of place.

I had a double room on my own for 7 days, but I can´t really imagine how to stay there with two persons: the furniture was spartan: bed, two chairs, a smallest table. No shelves, no wardrobe, only two coat hooks. Nothing to hang on moist clothing or towel. Only one wall socket behind the bed - nowadays most people have accus or mobiles to reload...In the kitchen: quite spartan concerning glasses, cups, plates...Positive: staff and guests nice. Bathrooms clean, towels there and in kitchen fresh.

A hot shower was slightly hard to come by but the bed was extremely comfortable. It was close to the Main road and lots of places to eat to choose from. Overall worth the money we spent.

I stayed for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. It is a quiet hostel which was perfect for me and my boyfriend as we wanted to be able to sleep at night and get up in the morning to explore the city:) The staff was wonderful - helpful, smiling and sweet. Remember to tip the lady in the café/bar! She is the sweetest thing and she has worked there for 15 years! All taxies know where new church street is, which is a big plus when wanting to go home from somewhere:) I would def recommend!!!!!

Zebra Crossing was overall a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I really just had two big issues. 1) The wireless internet was anything but reliable. Get a new router! 2) The payment by cash-only is ridiculous. For my stay I had to withdraw nearly 10,000 rand and I felt extremely unsafe the entire time carrying so much money. Is it really that hard to get a debit/credit card machine? Or at least accept checks?

This is my first stay in a hostel so I cannot really compare it but overall it was much nice than I expected it to be. The staff are helpful and friendly. It is located close to lots of restaurants and shops. Will definitely recommend it for anyone.

Thoroghly enjoyed my stay here. Extremely helpful staff, clean and comfortable hostel. I felt secure staying there, but it would be nice to have dorm rooms that locked, or lockers for persoanl use. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice quiet hostel with everything you need. 5 minutes from Kloof st, 10 min from Long st. Staff were very helpful. A few families that were staying there during my stay and some older backpackers, so it's not exactly a party place. Suited me fine though.

We had a great stay. staff is very friendly and every time helpfull. all is very clean. enough facilities for all ( bathrooms, kitchen, cafe/bar, lounge, TV, wifi, travel infos....) no directly parking area - but 50m to go from the hostel, there is a good parking space with 24 hour guard for 20 rand the night ( which is also recommend by the staff) also not far to go, everything you need to shop, bars and restaurants. good location (in any case if you have a car or not) to visit cape town.

A nice and quiet hostel, but not the best place for single travellers hoping to meet other people to chat with. If you are arriving late - make sure you get a phone number as there was no staff around at night, the night manager was asleep and hated being woken so a few people slept on the sofa. The rooms don't have lockers - I was aware prior to visiting so I knew to take a lock for my suitcase. Showers were clean. Good for friends, but not best for single travellers.
