After we stayed the night there we had bug bites, assumably from bed bugs which was pretty disgusting. The stay was fine, doors on the rooms would have been preferred. But overall the stay would have been excellent if not for the bed bugs!

The breakfast was simple, and I was surprised to find the mixed-gender accommodation, but the wi-fi + bed + desk help + kitchen access was great. A great deal.

Placed in good neighborhood, clean with good atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately there was no power socket in my room so I had to charge my cellphone in the common room. Showers were a bit too small. Above that it's a good hostel, close to sights, bars and restaurants, nice place to stay for a weekend.

I think Zebra Hostel's awards have caught up with them a little bit. It's fine if you're just passing through with comfortable beds and decent showers. (Be forewarned that they are push showers, which means you have to hold it down to get water out.) In addition, there is very little privacy as all rooms are pretty much open air. Lockers are pretty small too. Staff wasn't particularly friendly for even basic requests either. They're getting run down.

Definitely in the bottom half I've hostels I've been to. Pros: - Relatively good location and transport to and from the best parts of Milan. - Staff were friendly. Cons: - Showers were filthy and so cramped you could barely squeeze past the shower door when entering the cubicle. - My bed was in an extension of the main hallway and doorway, and I had complete strangers walk past at all hours. - Waking up with insect bites from god knows what. - No doors on rooms, and very noisy.

A very nice hostel in Milan.. Can certainly recommend this hostel to all who are going to Milan.. Our only problem was, that only two out of eight plates functioned in the kitchen. But it is probably already been fixed by now

So-so. Beds are quite cramped and quality is much lower than you would expect for this price.

It was a very long walk from the train station. However, it was nice that breakfast was included as well as free wifi. The bathrooms were not that great. The showers were not so clean and you had to keep pressing the shower handle to turn it on since it would turn off every ten seconds. There's a really great common space where you can meet fellow travelers and play free pool. Always music playing, which was great.

Bed was perfect, staff was very sympathic. Calm and guests are also very interesting... Moreover, Zebra Hostel is well situated and there are flexible hours for the check out, the check in and we can come back whenever you want !! They are the main things having a good stay and it was wonderful for me. La gente in Italia è calorosa, il popolo fa il paese per me. Thanks very much.

At first glance I was afraid for the fact that there were 24 beds in the same room, but it was pretty big and you have a lot of space to put your stuff. If your room is in the floor where the bathrooms are located you might be in a more noisy or unprivate area. But in general beds are good, bathrooms are ok, showeres are a littlebit uncomfortable but ok, breaskfast is good and the location too. I would return to this place.

The hostel was by no means the best hostel I have ever stayed at, but also not the worst. The reason for the negative review on value for money was because of the Italian Furniture Fair, which pushed up prices across the city, and I had to pay €56 per night to sleep in a dorm "room" with many other people. As previous reviewers have also posted, it can get very loud at night as the walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling, meaning that you can hear everyone coming and going during the night.

Music too loud in the hall , the impact of people surfing the Internet. Shower small , dirty, less water and cool. The room above the fully transparent , it is unreasonable and silly. There are people in the next room all night long Giggle and noising, almost can not sleep !

While the location is quite good, one will be surprised what they find when booking a 4-bed dorm. The hostel does not have rooms per- se, but rather a huge hall, with semi walls in the middle, meaning all rooms are connected. So really you share a floor with 60 people and not a room with 6. Not even doors are installed, but only curtains!!! It is very loud, privacy not given and literally everybody can just walk into your room.

They should put doors on the rooms, the drape was not nice. Also the walls were terrible, as they were open on the top, so everything made in the other rooms could be listened.

The bathroom did not smell clean. We were bit by mosquitoes while sleeping. There was no door on the room, just a cloth, which created lots of noise from others walking by.
