decent enough spot whilst in transit. easy to find from the directions given and nice staff. i sleep deeply but there can be a lot of noise at night which might be troublesome for those who sleep lightly as the doors are really thin. good cheap beer in the hostel and a good pub close by one block in front of the hostel to the left..
Nice hostel, nice people

Great hostel to stay at whether you are traveling alone or in a group. There is an excellent pub crawl run by friendly hostel that looks after everyone and makes sure you have a good night. Plenty of facilities and a large common area make it easy to meet fellow travelers.
Pretty nice hostel for who is searching for some fun. The common area is a perfect place to socialize and meet people. The kitchen is pretty good too. You don't have the room key but there is a locker to store the luggage so I felt safe. For what concerns the atmosphere don't expect for silence and rest, this is a party hostel!

Where to begin! Awesome hostel... The staff at the front desk are really great, they are very helpful and genuinely want you to enjoy your time in Milan. The people staying at Zebra hostel were all very friendly and I made some good friends. Had a few fun nights out, (do the pub crawl!!! Its awesome). The rooms were not to bad, had lockable lockers which is great and your stuff always feel safe as you need a security pass to get into the hostel! Would stay again for sure just to see the staff!!
It's the first time that I'm staying in a hostel with rooms are not locked.....
It is quite good, good location, just a short walk to the tourist area. The problem is that internet may work just in common areas, but sometimes it doesn't even work there. Rest of all, i liked it. Prices in the bar are little expensive, you are not allowed to bring anything in your room and atmosphere in the bar is bad.
Security to get into the hostel is very good however the bedrooms don't have locks which felt a bit unsafe. The bar is really good and a great place to meet friends, however the bathrooms are the filthiest I've ever seen and I've stayed in a lot of hostels before!
Pretty average hostel. Staff were helpful though, and the atmosphere was good because they have wifi in the common room, a pool table, ping pong table, and 24 hr bar. The common room is the best part about this hostel—it makes it super easy to meet people. Besides that it's just a place to rest your head for a couple nights.
You need a cardkey to come in the hostel, but rooms had no keys, so anyone in the hostel can come into your room anytime. Location is ok, not far from Duomo, you can take the Tram near to the hostel and get there in about 7 min. Staff nice, they organized meetings in Partys, so people from the hostel could go out to the same party together. Atmosphere was nice, they have games, tables and bar downstairs and everybody stays there. To expensive for what it ofers you. No air-condi. or fans in rooms
Sometimes the door did not work with your pass, at that time I wonder what the value is of the pass, because everyone can get in. I had airconditioning in my room, but the windows were open the second day. I don't understand because it costs extra energy. The wifi didn't work all the way in the back, at the big couch. I really enjoyed the free breakfast!
Overall, my stay with Zebra Hostel was not an enjoyable one. We arrived early and there was not a secure place to store our backs prior to checking in. The employee working stated we could leave our bags in the lobby - open to everyone. When checking in, we noticed there was a mosquito problem (so many mosquitoes in the building that the staff has their own electric racket to kill them!) My friend and I each woke up with over 7 or 8 mosquito bites each. Would not stay here again.
Overall a good experience staying in Milan, but not because of the Hostel. 1) Zebra owners, how can you not afford to pay for electricity while people are showering/on the toilet? Seriously, get rid of the auto-turn off lights. 2) Zebra owners, find a way to motivate your staff. They are not sociable at all and don't really seem to enjoy working with you. Especially the female employees at the reception were a damn downer. That said, Zebra hostel does actually have a great common area!
Staff very unfriendly, hostel very dirty. My travel mate found dead bugs in her sheets, she asked for new ones and got a set with dead lice on them. The third set was okay, but the staff member was very rude about assisting her. At least they were dead bugs....right? Also kitchen was a mess, wifi was poor and "club" next door had barely anyone there. You'll be fine if you just use this as a place to crash(bring your own pillow), but don't expect to hang out here
The Staff is really friendly, they always try to help you when needed. They have a nice kitchen, with fridge, oven and everything you might need. You won't receive a key for you bedroom. The bedrooms are open and inside of them there are lockers which you can use, but take your on locker otherwise you won't be able to close it. It was really hot in the bedroom but every time I asked them to turn our air conditioner on, they did. Nice hostel, but expensive for what offers.
Big kitchen. Great atmosphere. We made a tone of friends here. Staff werent great and were under pressure. Cleaning men walked into womens shower room without knocking. Dient feel fully at ease here. Not nice enough for the price paid
Hostel was fine, but the guests were a little bit passive.
Worst hostel I've stayed at in Europe. Gross, old building. The showers have bugs, the water stays cold, and the lights turn off after 2 minutes. It was so hot in the rooms it was unbearable, so you have to open the window and end up being eaten alive by mosquitoes all night. My girlfriend woke up with around 20 bites on 1 leg, still not sure if they are mosquitoes or bed bugs. Moved into a room with a/c after that, but they barge in, wake u up &turn it off at 2am. & DONT do the walking tour.
When we first arrived we were given a room that had no door, however the staff kindly offered to change our room, dorms are all partitioned so you can hear what's going on in the next one, making it more like a 30 bed dorm rather than a 10! Dorms do not have locks on the doors however there is a lock system to enter the hostel! Atmosphere was great, 24 hour bar and big common area make it easy to meet people! Kitchen is large and well equipped! Good hostel to stay in Milan if you like to party!
Bathroom style is not the best, water does not come through and kept stopping. Next time, I would expect a little better breakfast since around 10 there was nothing else to eat. Lockers were paid as well as the towels.
