Zen Hostel Brasil was a quaint hostel in Vila Madalena. It was close to the Vila Madalena subway stop and within walking distance (with a lot of hills!) to many restaurants and bars. The room, bathroom, and common areas were clean and well-kept. The wi-fi was fast and worked without any problems. The only negatives about this hostel are that there are lots of mosquitoes, and it's very humid. Our clothes, sheets, and towels never dried and were always wet.
Excellent! I've traveled and stayed in hostel a lot and this is by far the best hostel. The room was very clean and big. Staff were attentive and nice. I was really enjoying my stay in this hostel.
7 bed female dorm. Come here expecting zen! The lobby feels like a cozy living room! Things to note: - Healthy breakfast with homemade yogurt. - The kitchen is not open for cooking, just a fridge and microwave. - Bring your own small lock. Generic Masterlock didn't fit. - The location is in 10-15 min walking of a plethora of bars and resturants. - A laptop is available in the lobby. - Reliable wifi Thank you to the kind staff who also spoke great English! Shoutout to Eduardo!
