The rooms and beds were clean, the bathrooms likewise. The actually building was shabby but that seems typical of Greece and due to the economy in the country I don't think one could expect much more. However, there was a large area downstairs which was a sort of kitchen/bar/sitting area which could have been fantastic with a little imagination but was a rather dark and dingy cellar with hard seats and not much in the way of tables. For a relatively central room on the metroline 25 euros is good

Cheap hostel with nice rooms. You get what you pay for with this hostel (not necessarily a bad thing), making it a prime place to stay for a night or two in Athens. Decently far away from some of Athens' notable spots to see, but close to a Metro station if you choose to go that way. Overall an affordable hostel that is perfect for a short stop over in Athens.

Excellent location and good prices for low season. Staff really good and willing to help. Suitable for "adults" (not anymore student) that wanted to be near the metro and the center and the archeological museum. Hostel spirit, of course, which keep us thinking "young" ! LOL !

Really cool place-clean, walking distance to the city center and all the attractions but if you don't feel like walking there is a metro station right around the corner. The area is safe (plus there is 24h reception)and the staff is the best - fun, super nice and helpful with everything. The hostel also has a bar where you can chill out and hang out with other travelers. One of the best and cleanest hostels I stayed in during all my travels. Thanks for awesome time and definitely see you again

Zorbas is definitely the best hostel i've ever stayed in. Great and helpful staff, very clean rooms and an amazing atmosphere. The hostel has everything you need wi-fi, 24 hour open reception, bar etc.. and its located right next to the metro which takes you in to the center in few minutes. I would really recommend this hostel if you need a good place to stay in Athens. You will have so much fun staying in Zorbas.

Very close to metro so you can reach quite easily to other parts of city as well as Akropolis.

A basic hostel but very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt completely secure with the 24-hour manned reception and the facility to lock up our valuables. The location was excellent- two steps from the metro and near lots of excellent value bars and restaurant. It was also only a 30 minute walk from the city centre. We would happily stay there again. It is excellent value for money and great if your type of hotel is somewhere quiet to stay and get a good night's sleep

thehostel should have lockers in the room but havent there is plenty of room the bar was not open the kitchen area was poor and dingy softer bed pillows would be nice the daytime recepyion guy was ok but the night time guy was not very nice the place seems to be a hotel that they have tried unsuccessfully to turn into a hoatel it was fine for the price maybe other hostels are better good luck
