The staff are awesome, I lost my passport and they helped me with calls ( I don't speak thai) . Which was great. They have free Internet. A LOT of information about Bangkok and Thailand in general which is great if you don't know anything about the place. Only downside is the location, make sure you take their cards so taxis can find it and try and get use to the train lines. It's very easy and the MRT ( metro) line, just do some reasearch. Good hostel.

I only booked one night but end up with living there for 7 days. De Talak is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever lived over the years. Apart from the unstable internet, everything else is very decent. And the free ice cream is so impressive.

de talak is a perfekt stay for staying. everything was perfekt. you get free water and delicious ice cream, the staff is very friendly and helpflu with everything, the rooms are clean and on a good temperatur. the only thing you could complain about is the location. but it is near to a metro station, so thats fine.

excellent hostel. The only negative is that it is a little out of the center and the touristic region (but it is close to a metro station).. In the area where the hostel is there are plenty food stalls with Thai food. The hostel has nice character. It has also a common room with a TV and computers with internet access (free to use). There is a kind of kitchen where coffee and tea is for free.. also free mineral water is available to the guests.. The rooms are clean and have air-condition..

Solid place. Well organized around backpacker's needs, staff are very well-informed and helpful, room is clean, well-lit, and the A/C works like a charm. Only concern is an unpleasant walk back from the metro late at night - dark, a bit secluded, and two aggressive dogs wait round the corner. I nearly gotten bitten once, but another woman was not as lucky.

Very clean and nice hostel and if you call them they will pick you up from the metro station. Room is big and clean they afford the free shampoo. Good for people to stay if you want to go to the airport.

Great hostel for the money. Beds are a bit hard, but not unbearable. No kitchen facilities, but current renovations will bring a great new hang out area with kitchen (Too bad I missed out) Plenty of street food available nearby, and 7-11 five minutes walk. Metro is close by. No elevator with six floors is kind of a pain, but again not that bad. Overall very nice hostel, recommended. B+

Great Hostel!! It has a great staff and a quaint environment! The beds are big and comfy and sure for good night's rest. The hostel provides free water and ice cream daily! Not for the partyer but great for true backpackers who want to soak in the atmosphere and swap stories! Highly recommended

Nice place, clean, etc but a bit far away from everything, and as much $ as places in the center. Other than location it is a nice place.
