I had a lovely three-night stay at eHostel during the World Cup. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was friendly and it was a really nice surprise to find out that breakfast was included. Also, you can't beat the location. Only down point would be the noise late at night. In the bar it says that quiet time is after 10pm but it was impossible to sleep with people downstairs making a lot of noise until 3 or 4am, every night I was there.

It was a slight distance from the beach, but you can find so much to eat along the way. Upon areiving at the beach, u hit post 4, 1 of the best places for beach soccer, volleyball and the best surfing.

I stayed in a 12 bunk room. It was very quiet. Had air conditioning. The room didn't have much space to move around. If two people were up and moving you are definitely in each others way. Plus there is no place to put your large bag so you have to sleep with it in your bed. The beach is a close walk and there are grocery stores close by too. Things to keep in mind: -Their lockers are small. They only fit a small backpack not your full luggage. -The "bar" in the hostel is a breakfast bar.

We had a great time at this hostel and the staff were very friendly, keeping our luggage safe as we arrived very early so we could get down to the beach! The 8 bed room was quite small

Very good hostel in an excellent location, near Copacabana Beach. The bedroom was clean and the staff were very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast is nice, with bread, cake, cereals and juice.

Near the Metro station. Bread store, supermarkets, and other facilities nearby. Great place!

Staff was partially very disinterested in helping guests to find the sight etc. Cleanliness was a large issue: maids were in the hostel the whole day, kitchen however was never really clean. Many log hair were found on the floor in room and bathroom.

Good location near to metro and shops. 10 minutes from copacabana beach. Standard Brazilian breakfast of bread jam cake and cereal. Staff were pretty disorganised, during our stay, but it was fairly busy just after carnival. Very expensive compared with the rest of brazil, but I think that's just rio itself. Could do with a few more toilets and showers though.

Really amazing hostel only about 3 blocks away from Copacabana Beach (5 mins max) and a short walk to Ipanema. All the staff at the hostel at the hostel were amazing, really helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Really comfy beds and proper power showers. I stayed here for 7 nights and will hopefully stay here again if I return to Rio. 10/10

Very well located hostel. Just a stones through from the beach and centre of Rio. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The communal area downstairs is very nice as is the filling breakfast which goes on for 2 hours. The beds are extremely comfortable and you get new clean sheets upon arrival. Bring a small lock for the lockers as the holes in the securing chain are only about 5mm wide. Great value tours aswell.

Great all-round hostel. Good location close to the beach, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. Only downside is there is really no kitchen to cook or fridges to store any drinks/food.

Was pleasantly surprised with my time in a large dorm during carnival. Comfy beds and clean washrooms. Kitchen and fridges aren't made accessible to the guests and the blankets are not washed between users which is a concern. Great location to restaurants and beach!

I stayed during the New Years and it was very popular. Pros: The girl at reception was really nice even after I bothered her with so many questions. Convenient location to Copacabana. Clean beds, AC worked great Cons: The dorm beds were REALLY high, especially the top ones. it makes it hard to get to my stuff, plus the distance between the beds were about elbow length apart

The hostel is located not to far from Copacabana beach only about 4 blocks away which is great. I stayed in a 9 person dorm and it seems they have tried to cram too many beds into one little room, i ended being put in the top of the triple decker bunk bed and there was barely enough space to sit up without hitting your head or any place to keep your luggage on the floor, however each bed had a powerpoint which was good. Breakfast was average bread and jam and cereal. small kitchen.

This hostel was in a handy location and was very clean. It was great to see so many recycling bins! However, I wouldn't book a bed in the 14-bed women's dorm again - it was so hot and had no natural light. I was happy when a member of staff suggested that I might want to swap rooms for my second night.

- Good: Amazing showers and mattresses (for a hostel); Very clean and new facilities; Very good location; Individual sockets and LED lamp. - Not so good: Really tight rooms: better pray to get some organized fellows - otherwise you'll not be able to reach your bed; The upper bed of the triple bunk is very close to the ceiling - not good if you arrive drunk or plan to stay seated while reading or chatting; A bit noisy during the night. Overall, a good place to stay!

There was a lot of noise from the tv in the common room. There was mould on the walls of the room which made the room smell musty. The window opened up to the hallway/bar area, so opening it caused extra noise and it did not feel safe to leave it open to get some fresh air when leaving the room.

The hostel was in a good location, clean and the staff were welcoming and very helpful.I liked the birightness of the hostel with no clutter just the minimum that is required. The Breakfast was served like a buffet with plenty of coffee juices yogurt, bread and cake and local fruit. the bunk bedding in the dorms was comfortable and clean with hardly any privacy, but cosy.
