My fiancé and I stayed here one night and did not like it at all. We were in a cramped six person dorm with three levels of bunk beds. We were both on the top bunk which had barely enough room to get in below the ceiling. The bathrooms were also extremely small and could have been a lot cleaner. The overall common space was minimal and did not contribute to a fun atmosphere. For the price, I think there are much better options in the area.

Very clean hostel a stone's throw from the beach. Great staff. Good breakfast. Only criticism would be that top (third) bunks had hardly any room to even sit up. But otherwise great. Would definitely stay there again.

I booked this hostel several months ago. Inmediatelly after booking I received an e-mail from the hostel, informing me that the fare has changed and that they will not honor my reservation with the published fare. Since them, We have exchanged dozens of e-mails, trying to get a refund on my reservation. It's has been 8 months now, and I still have not received the refund, despite having sent my information, paypal accounts, credit card #'s, etc, several times.

Located just a few blocks from Copacabana beach and easy access to everything. The housekeepers are the nicest women I have met while traveling and work very hard at what they do. My issue was the beds were triple stacked which I didn't read anywhere before booking. The water didn't work for half the day but the AC always worked which is very important in this heat. Small kitchen but you can buy food if need be. The bathroom needed to be cleaned more often.

high points: close to the metro, to the bike rio station, close walk to copacabana beach low points: breakfast with few options, cleaning ladies talked really loud early in the morning, and the sheets and blanket smelled a bit like mold

I had a lovely three-night stay at eHostel during the World Cup. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was friendly and it was a really nice surprise to find out that breakfast was included. Also, you can't beat the location. Only down point would be the noise late at night. In the bar it says that quiet time is after 10pm but it was impossible to sleep with people downstairs making a lot of noise until 3 or 4am, every night I was there.

It was a slight distance from the beach, but you can find so much to eat along the way. Upon areiving at the beach, u hit post 4, 1 of the best places for beach soccer, volleyball and the best surfing.

I stayed in a 12 bunk room. It was very quiet. Had air conditioning. The room didn't have much space to move around. If two people were up and moving you are definitely in each others way. Plus there is no place to put your large bag so you have to sleep with it in your bed. The beach is a close walk and there are grocery stores close by too. Things to keep in mind: -Their lockers are small. They only fit a small backpack not your full luggage. -The "bar" in the hostel is a breakfast bar.

We had a great time at this hostel and the staff were very friendly, keeping our luggage safe as we arrived very early so we could get down to the beach! The 8 bed room was quite small

Very good hostel in an excellent location, near Copacabana Beach. The bedroom was clean and the staff were very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast is nice, with bread, cake, cereals and juice.

Good small hostel with good location. Staff very helpful and friendly.

nice hostel, very clean and in a good area!

Near the Metro station. Bread store, supermarkets, and other facilities nearby. Great place!

Staff was partially very disinterested in helping guests to find the sight etc. Cleanliness was a large issue: maids were in the hostel the whole day, kitchen however was never really clean. Many log hair were found on the floor in room and bathroom.

Good location near to metro and shops. 10 minutes from copacabana beach. Standard Brazilian breakfast of bread jam cake and cereal. Staff were pretty disorganised, during our stay, but it was fairly busy just after carnival. Very expensive compared with the rest of brazil, but I think that's just rio itself. Could do with a few more toilets and showers though.

Really amazing hostel only about 3 blocks away from Copacabana Beach (5 mins max) and a short walk to Ipanema. All the staff at the hostel at the hostel were amazing, really helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Really comfy beds and proper power showers. I stayed here for 7 nights and will hopefully stay here again if I return to Rio. 10/10

Very well located hostel. Just a stones through from the beach and centre of Rio. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The communal area downstairs is very nice as is the filling breakfast which goes on for 2 hours. The beds are extremely comfortable and you get new clean sheets upon arrival. Bring a small lock for the lockers as the holes in the securing chain are only about 5mm wide. Great value tours aswell.

Great all-round hostel. Good location close to the beach, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. Only downside is there is really no kitchen to cook or fridges to store any drinks/food.

Was pleasantly surprised with my time in a large dorm during carnival. Comfy beds and clean washrooms. Kitchen and fridges aren't made accessible to the guests and the blankets are not washed between users which is a concern. Great location to restaurants and beach!

I stayed during the New Years and it was very popular. Pros: The girl at reception was really nice even after I bothered her with so many questions. Convenient location to Copacabana. Clean beds, AC worked great Cons: The dorm beds were REALLY high, especially the top ones. it makes it hard to get to my stuff, plus the distance between the beds were about elbow length apart
