Well I never stayed here even though I booked through Hostelworld and made an reservation! After a 10hr bus ride we showed up at 9:30pm to be told that the hostel is full. I asked how can it be full when we made an booking, the man at reception didn't seem to understand what I was asking (or he did and was playing dumb) after going round in circles I ask if he could refund my deposit however again he didn't understand what I was asking. Currently still awaiting my deposit from Hostelworld.

It was great. The only frustration was that the staff weren't very helpful but were friendly.

I booked the iHouse residence with hostel world and received a confirmation - on arrival the hotel they are fully booked and despite my printed confirmation there is no vacancy The hotel had a computer failure the previous day and did not receive the booking So how is it possable to receive a confirmation when the hotel has no record of the booking? Will this happen again?

More like a hotel than a hostel, so if you want somewhere with a bit of atmosphere then this might not be the place for you. Our room was tiny, but clean and nicely decorated. The location was great - near to the river and the tourist sites.

If you book a twin room there, it does not have two beds! It only means, two persons can sleep in the room!
