Everything was great but the hostel is located on 3rd floor , so if you have big suitcase I wouldn't recommend this hostel even there is an elevator but still uncomfortable because it's small and stop at first floor not ground floor.

Thank you so much for everything! Despite my short stay at the hostel, it is such an inviting atmosphere where the staffs are so nice and friendly, especially Nicholas! I had the best time and if I ever come back to Moscow, this is where I will stay!

Great! Really clean and quiet. Perfect location.

The private rooms here are incredible! A short walk from the Kremlin and many other sights downtown - and 5 minutes from a subway. The rooms are huge, and everything is very clean. The staff were helpful and gave us tips for Moscow AND a few of the other cities we were planning to visit. I would definitely consider coming back here if I was ever back in Moscow.

Good place to stay in Moscow. Very central, right into the centre of Moskou. Red square is ca. 20 min walking. Hostel is hard to find without any directions, is in an appartmentbuilding. But when you book, they give you good directions. Staff speaks English and give tips of what to do in Moscow. Supermarkt for selfcatering is nearby.

The hostel was in a really good location - we walked to Red Square in about 20 minutes. However, be aware that the hostel is divided into two apartments which are unconnected, and the one we were in didn't seem as good as the other one, where the main reception was. Could also have done with some maps of Moscow as we couldn't find any anywhere!

Overall is good.

You can find friendly and very helpful staff speaking fluent English here. You dont have to worry about security around the hostel as it is located in main street in Moscow which you definitely feel safe hanging out around.

It's a decent hostel, but most the guests appear to be Russians that are living there or staying long term and the ones in the female dorm were a bit bitchy about their space/stuff/etc... not really a communal hostel-style atmosphere. Everyone speaking Russian. Otherwise good wifi, clean, quiet, very helpful staff and easy to find.

Location is brilliant, 10minute walk to red square and let's face it, Moscow is a great walking city (when not snowing). Directions from airport and metro were very handy. Lots of great little restaurants/bars near by. Clean, easy access, we had a private double bed which was fine. Only criticisms would be lack of atmosphere, lack of staff recommendations for local places to go etc. Other hostels try and create a real community feel and get everyone together and doing things. I found iVAn did no

Very nice hostel! I recommended it highly. Quiet and subdued atmosphere. Lots of staff who speak English very well. The last hostel I stayed in was a little chaotic. You will not be disappointed in Ivan Hostel.

Good hostel in the heart of Moscow (approx. 20 minute walk to Red Square). Nikolai especially is a great help and speaks perfect English. The hostel is obviously an old converted Soviet-era apartment so there is only one bathroom which is definitely the major pinch-point, especially if travelling during the high season. But the kitchen is workable, the internet works, and the bed was fairly comfortable by Russian standards. Definitely a more utilitarian place to stay, but totally fine. Recommend

It's a great hostel in a great location! The guys who work the reception are very helpful (something very appreciated in a city where barely no one speaks English). The only problem is that there is only one shower and one toilet...

Extremely helpful staff. Good wifi but only one bathroom. And not sure if there were any lockers? But nice place and nice coffee in the mornings!

Good hostel in an excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from the kremlin. Easy to find (not common for hostels in Russia), you will see signs saying iVAN hostel on the door. Extremely good wifi (many differents routers, so it doesnt become slow at night when everybody is using it). Good english speaking managers. One weak point, few bathrooms... just a bath and a toilette. I had a good stay at iVAN hostel...

Excellent hostel, just 15 min walking away from red square, and just 5 min away from the nearest metro station. Really clean and huge room.
