Fantastic Location. Clean, meals were good value, especially breakfast. Was in a mixed room but always the only female, I don't like that. One of the bathroom lights didn't work so 8 of us had to share one shower.

This hostel was okay, but rather overpriced. (Would recommend Castle Rock instead if you have the choice.) The room where I was had as many beds crammed in as would fit. Quite hot and stuffy during the night, needed better ventilation. Pillow was awful. Had to make the bed, but the sheets were freshly washed. Couldn?t fault the cleanliness, free towels/gel was nice. Food was good, but not free ? ask for the 20% student discount. No padlocks available for lockers, have to bring your own.

A nice, modern clean hostel in a close and convenient location to the old town, public transport and the main sites of Edinburgh.

The common area and bar is good. Definately go the 12 bed dorm over the 10 bed dorm- (i had to do a swap for one night) - the bathrooms are much better, the room just a better size. The 10 bed dorm wasnt cleaned by the Friday I swapped to there and really needed to be. Net is expensive, staff not overly interested. But its not too bad.

My room was not cleaned for the entire 4 days of the stay and whie the location is central, if you get a room on the bottom floor like i did (on the road side) the traffic going past will keep you awake ALL night as you have to keep the window open as the rooms are SOOO hot!

You should tell us all the information we need for registration on the arrival day. The details that we need is passport number but you did not indicate that we must have in the confirmation email. We have to waste our time to find the passport number from many email that we think we should have. It is not a good first impression when we arrived. First staff that talk with us is not helpful and not friendly but the second one is good, she told us it is OK that we did not have passport no.
