very good experience. Coming the second time but not disappointed. Saw people of all ages.

Clean, with good linen included, excellent location, and friendly and helpful staff. Attached bar is convenient and well-priced for food and drink, and has pool/billiard tables as well. The only bad I found was that the windows don't keep out much sound, and street out front seems to attract shouting people at odd times of the night so it can be hard to sleep if you're on that side of the building.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in! A very clean, fresh and enjoyable place to stay. The bar area is fantastic, breakfast isn't included but well worth the 4.95 investment. The only downfall was that our room was on the first floor above the bar, so for those that like to get to bed before midnight, the music may keep them awake until about 2am. That said, Edinburgh is all about the night-life :)

Super location and great staff, but noisy street at weekends and noisy from groups hanging around in the hallways

The location is very good, and the atmosphere in the Bara is amazing!! 100% reccomended!!

Check is 24 hours so you can get woken in the night by people checking in! Nice new hostel, I had a ensuite in my room which was a real bonus! Bar downstairs is good, can be a wee bit noisy of people coming out to smoke/go home but it wasnt a massive problem! Had a really good stay though, the location is fantastic for getting to tours and walking around the sites, bars, shops and restaurants! Would definitely recommend it to people!

Very good facilities, nice and clean. Reception staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. However, management were very bad at dealing with a problem I had and definitely need some kind of training. For this reason, I'm not sure I would go back.

I am really satified with this hostel. It was one of the cheapests hostels in Edimburg and probably one of the bests. The hostel is new, so everything was clean and good.

I booked a twin private room but I had a 4 bed private room.

We stayed one night but i would stay here for more. my boyfriend and i stayed in a dorm and the price was a little higher because of the weekend events but it was a great hostel it has a great bar and the location is very good. the room was very clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hostel has electronic lockers which is very handy. the breakfast fry for £5 was really tasty although you don't get enough for your money. Thanks for having us we'll be back :D:D

Room is much better than I thought! Clean, good heater, separate shower room and toilet. Staff are nice and friendly, explaining everything clearly. I booked a private twin room but get a four bed ensuite instead. But the room is big, clean and nice, I don\'t really complain about this change even this is not reasonable...

Very clean, nice staff and a great location. The policy of not being able to get into your room until the entire stay has been paid in full for everyone on the booking was very annoying. Those of us who came in earlier on a flight were stuck with nowhere to go and found this very frustrating.I've never stayed in a hostel before where that was required. When recommending the hostel in future I will always point out how frustrating this was and not to book unless everyone will arrive together

We find that the carpet and bedding is quite dirty. Maybe it is just our room (a 6 person room). And the heater is not really working. However as the room is pretty warm (not in the early morning) and our stay us quite short we do not make any complaint.

Very clean room and very comfortable atmosphere!!! We did not expect that there is an excellent service in the hostel but it felt like in 5 stars hotel!!!thank you for making our vacation much better!!!

Fantastic hostel, extremely clean and rooms were lovely! Great facilities, friendly staff and great value!!! Would definitely stay again and will be recommending it to others!
