One of the best hostels I've stayed around the world. Friendly staff, great location (2 mins from subway stop), clean and big amazing kitchen. Staffs come hang out sometime and it seems like they're really close with each other. I strongly recommend the cat's pajamas.

The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed visiting with them and the other interesting guests I met there. The place was very clean and safe. It was a short walk to the metro. I highly recommend it.

The best hostel I went to in Taipei (not Taiwan, there was even better in the south). Friendly and helpful staff (not overly friendly but friendly). The rooms are nice, very clean, good taste for the colours and furniture. There are lockers which is very important for me, and even more importantly the common areas (reception / kitchen and "lounge") are great to meet people. Lots of Asian people, too, which is a very good point. Good price. Rooms without windows, but that's common in Taipei.

The location of The Cat's Pajamas is good, five minutes walk from MRT Taipower Building and virtually 2 minutes walk from Shida night market. The whole place is cosy in some way. However, the room I stayed is in the basement, and the capacity is extremely tiny. The bad thing about living in the basement is the bad circulation. (Unfortunately, it can be smelly sometimes). The tiny space for each bed is acceptable, but not the dust and dirst on the top of the cabins and shelves.

The location is nice. The bus station and the metro is pretty close. Many places to drink and to eat in around. The stuff is very friendly, provides you with everything you need. The overall experience is positive

The Cat's Pajamas is the best hostel in all of Taipei. The location is excellent, the staff are the nicest funniest people ever. Anything you need, they will do their best to help. The atmosphere is both relaxed and fun. Never a boring time in Taiwan if you stay at the Cat's Pajamas. Thanks guys!

Been traveling in taiwan for 1 month, stayed with few hostel around the town. This one is probably the best one I have ever stay in all my travel experience. The cat's pajamas is very chic and with a lot of character, but it's also a good place for resting. Staffs are super nice, and they are really funny as well. I think I will come back and stay with them again.

I didn't stay for too long, only one night, but it was EXCELLENT. The staffs are great, and very good location as well. It seems like they also have a great group of guests this time. I couldn't believe I didn't stay here last time when I visiting, I'm sure I will come back and stay with the cat's pajamas again.

When arriving at the cats pajamas we where greeted by a very sweet staff who gave us a nice tour and showed us to our room. The place was cosy and the room was as you would expect compared to the price, nothing fancy at all but since we were just looking for a place to crash for one night it suited the purpose. However, we could have gone without the cockroaches and blood stains on the sheets and the used shaving gear in the bathroom but again, for a cheap place to sleep in Taipei it was decent.

Dear , We're really sorry our staff didn't do the good job before you check in to the room. The situation shouldn't happen to any our guest. We will find out who was in charge the day you check in and hopefully we will have chance to see you again. Best Regards, TCP Team.

This is the best hostel that I've stayed at in Asia (about 20-30 so far). Great location and great attention to every detail when they setup the hostel.

This was a really nice hostel. It seems that there's a community of really friendly students and staff here that know each other well, but are very open to including new people as well. Me and my traveling buddy stayed just for the weekend, but we met so many interesting people here who were really nice about showing us cool things to do in taipei. The hostel itself is really clean and stylish.

1. Toilet cleanliness was very poor. There was clogging problem which cause slight flooding up to 3 inches. The water temperature was not consistent, half the bathing time was spent on adjusting the temperature. And the ventilation in the toilet is very poor. 2. As the air-con control is held by the staff, one of the nights we slept without air-cond as there was no staff around.

This is the best hostel I ever stayed in! It has been renovated recently, the location is great (near the Taipower Station MRT exit 2 and near the Shida night market), the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful and the hostel was very clean and secure. Next time I´ll go to Taipei I go there again because in my point of you no other hostel can beat this package!

After going to Cat's PJ, I understand all of the comments below, and as a hostel-hopper I'd say that this hostel should average around 85-90% (not quite a 50% nor 100%). I ended up making friends with many people, even though my stay was very short, tho I get why the staff was described as clique-ish. A lot of off-shift-staff hang around during the arvo, and I was greeted by ~3 as I was checking out (a female-staff was wrapped in just a towel; they really treat the place like home).
