Had a great stay at this hostel. People there were very friendly and had great advice on things to do in the area. They helped with mapping out transportation back to the airport, and the character of the hostel is very cute. Location is great, close to a clothing night market and the MRT, and a cute neighborhood. high score for the cat's pajama, : )

Nice place, near MRT and night markets. Staff were helpful and friendly. Clean and well furnished, but could do with a little tidy-up/de-clutter though!

Great staff. Cleanest bathroom I have had in a hostel. Close to subway station and food. Nice and stable wifi connection with power supply by every bed. My buddy especially enjoyed playing the guitar they had in the common room.

Nice, clean place, with friendly, sweet staff with excellent English. They invited me out for drinks with them almost every night, which I thought was really welcoming, but couldn't accept because I was in Taipei to take a medical school entrance test. They had a strict policy about keeping the common area very quite after 10pm, which I really appreciated when I was trying to get good rest for my exam! Thanks guys!

Really nice place to stay. The staff was excellent and I met nice people there. Quite close to a subway station, and easy to find using the directions on the website. The communal bathroom sink was leaking on the floor when I was there, but I'm sure they will have it fixed soon. My bedroom was right at street level, so there was noise from traffic in the morning that woke me up. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely go back next time I'm in Taiwan!

The location of the hostel is great, very close to the night market, with it's restaurants, bars and coffee shops, as well as being a five minute walk to the subway. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the place is clean. The only issues are the peculiar smell in the basement, the showers flooding in the basement, and having a room in the basement (which was dark and stuffy). So, I'd say this is a really great hostel if you can get one of the rooms on the first floor.

Very nice place for traveler like me, fun in the daytime but quiet at night. Also it seems like the cats pajamas itself are pretty familiar with the neighborhood, there's always people who come to ring the door and hang out. Some staffs are nice too. I think it's a decent place.

It was perfect. The room was clean and even my room was in the basement, the ventilation wasn't bad at all. Also the staffs were nice and very helpful. Jing-jing and Maen (Mayen?) took me to the beef noodle place on my first night in taipei. I think the cat's pajamas is not only place to stay, also make my taiwan trip becomes more interesting and fun.

definitly one of the best places ive stayed in asia, the staff were very friendly and helpful in finding out things for me, places to go etc, and the location is very good, right in the middle of shida (one of the trendier areas of Taipei). for the price the dorm rooms were good value, clean, and the other tenants were respectful... good kitchen and lounge rooms also (though i doubt you'll be cooking much in taipei :-)) recommended!

One of the best hostels I've stayed around the world. Friendly staff, great location (2 mins from subway stop), clean and big amazing kitchen. Staffs come hang out sometime and it seems like they're really close with each other. I strongly recommend the cat's pajamas.

Pajamas\' lobby is as pretty as in pictures. But that is pretty much its only good point. The staff isn\'t bad, but you can never find them. Everything, from toilet paper to towel, I had to get with other travelers who helped me. Once, a newcomer knocked on my room asking for help to find his room. On the last day, we had to wake up the only staff present at 10h to get our key deposit back. Finally, the bathroom of dbl bed room floods a bit when it rains, but gets smelly if you open the drain.
