Wow, what a great experience staying at this hostel! It was very chill and there were so many hippies!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The only thing was that it was out of the way from the main part of the city. They have a shuttle but it only comes once an hr and they charge you

Passenger Ship Avanti
- Oosterdok , Jetty 2, Amsterdam
-

- 5 Jun 2013
The Avanti is one of two boats which are next to each other and operate the same booking system. We stayed in the one right at the end of the pier, and it was very pleasant. Though we only spent one night in there - arriving around 9pm and having to leave the next day at 7am - we were made

Nice establishment with beautiful people. We enjoyed a lot our stay, thanks to the Captain of the boat.
The breakfast are excellent, and the context of the boat is very original.
I hope I will back once.

This was my very first time staying at a hostel and this honestly exceeded my expecations, sure when you stay in a dorm you share it with others but it relaly has the feel of a hotel. The rooms are SO CLEAN and there is a cleaning service that comes by every morning just like at any other

St Christopher's at The Winston
- Warmoesstraat 129, Amsterdam
-

- 12 Jun 2013
The Winston was a good, but not great hostel. The rooms have their own bathroom, which is nice. There are lockers underneath the bed for clothes. The atmosphere doesn't necessarily gel with some though, because, while it is a party hostel, it's kind of an abrasive atmosphere with really

A really fun place. It's always clean, the breakfast is great, and the staff is nice. My only complaint would be that the wifi doesn't work in the rooms.

Intersail

We had a really nice stay at Intersail. If you're in Amsterdam, staying on a boat is the thing to do. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Close to the train station and to central Amsterdam. The rooms are small but clean, we stayed three in a three bed room and it works as long as

Marie-Anns Houseboat/Deo Volente
- Dijksgracht 7, 1019 BT, Amsterdam
-

- 1 May 2013
A lovely hostel, nr the station (but you can hardly hear the trains), Dam square about a 15 minute walk away. Unlimited free tea and coffee was great, and the fridge for drinks was a great touch (1 euro each). The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but mostly it was fine. Staff

Great place to stay in a great location. Just a short walk from the station and to Amsterdam centre. Only two rooms, so particularly good if you're travelling in a group of 4 as you have the boat to yourselves! I would stay here again without a doubt.
