The hostel was really nice and the location was awesome. I arrived when the reception was closed so they configured my credit card as my room key and it worked perfectly. More

Excellent hostel. It was pretty dead when i was there in the off season, which also meant limited hours that the reception was open. They gave me a free upgrade to a smaller room that I'd have to myself which after a month of hostel hopping was a real treat. Definitely would stay here More

Staffs are amazing, really friendly and helpful. Location is a but off the city, around 20mins by bus but just under ulriken mountain. Its a bit costly tho to go and back from city. The only thing let me down was the staff said bfast open 6.30 on weekdays. But monday morning i c/o early More

The best thing about the hostel is the location. The hostel is located next to the Mount Ulriken, which is an amazing place to hike. However the city of Bergen is 5 km's away. A bus stops close to the hostel but it is actually even nicer to walk over to the city. More

My staying in YMCA Bergen was very pleasant! The dorms were really nice and the facilities were always clean. I liked the really good location of the hostel and enjoyed the good equipped kitchen, but in my opinion the arrangement of the showers was problematic. More

Security; lockers need a key from reception, but arriving late afternoon means no staff are on duty (access cards are picked up from a key code safe); therefore I had no use of lockers and had to leave all my possessions in my room unsecured. Location; can't beat it for being central in More
