The staff rocks and it's right next to he beach which is great! The wifi is slow even though you have to pay for it :-( all the hammocks around are lovely for lounging. Wish there were bigger lockers in the dorms, you couldn't fit much in them and due to this everyone's stuff was More

A little bit out of town, but helps to maintain the relaxed atmosphere - and you are directly at the beach. Cats More

I had a great time at Cape Byron YHA. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the free guided tour was fantastic. It was great to have free bicycles to borrow and it was quiet after 11 pm if you wanted an early night. The location was great, close to the beach and the city. The room and More

The hostel has a big pool and in general very good facilities, but it feels like they don't take care of it! The toilets, showers and kitchen were not clean the rooms were quite small (we stayed in a 5-bed dorm). More

Standard hostel about 15min walk from the beach, guests quite noisey at night, no aircon in the room, kitchen very clean in the morning, no free wifi, and no free breakfast. The reception staff were really friendly and knowledgable 😊 More

The location and staff are great. My only complaint is that the room was a bit dirty when I arrived even though most guests had checked out. Also the showers and toilets were a bit dirty too. Otherwise nice hostel! More

Location was good 2 minutes from the beach. Communal area and toilets/ showers were kept clean but this is a very average hostel in my opinion having stayed in 40-50 hostels around the world. Communal area closes too early at night, staff weren't overly friendly or helpful, they make you More

A bit of a party hostel but still enjoyed a good night sleep. The four-bed dorm with ensuite was superb, new and clean. It was a lovely stay. However, kitchen should be open later than 10 pm. More

This is one of the worst hostels we've stayed in over 7 months of travelling. The rooms were dirty, extremely noisy at night ('quiet time after 10pm' doesn't happen) and the doors were always open to the room. Cockroaches in bathroom that the 'cleaner' ignored. During the night people were More

They have different events and food specials in the bar every night which were great! Also a super deck area with hammocks. Only bad thing was main access to the room was through the bar and that locks at 6:30pm. After that you have to go around the building to get to your room. More

The staff was really unfriendly, the bathroom is too small ( 2 sinks, 3 showers for the whole hostel!?) and the hostel is just not worth the money.. More

I had a great time here! The hostel is a bit out of town but you can easily walk and the shuttle bus is for free. The kitchen, common room and bathrooms are clean, the dorms could be cleaner but it's nothing major. Staff is very helpful and friendly! All in all a great hostel to stay in if More

Staff very friendly. Very big hostel, good if you want to party, not great if you are trying to sleep. Brewery next door which is very loud and kept us up. Shuttlebus into town needs to run more often into town as it is a long walk into town. Kitchen far too small for amount of people at More

Great atmosphere and location! I very much enjoyed my stay here as it is very easy to meet people and there is always something happening. The shuttle to town (runs also during the night) is very convenient yet you can easily walk to the city center. Kitchen and equipment could be More
