I've been traveling all over east Asia and I consider dozy house to be the best guesthouse I've stayed. Jina (the owner) is fantastic and goes above+beyond for her guests. The rooms are super clean with plenty of space and thoughtful decor. Its within the old city and walking distance

FWD House

The ac is tune off in the morning and turned back on at 8 pm, so staying inside or coming back during the heat of the day to take a nap is not possible. Besides, during cleaning (12-3, as it turned out) you're not allowed in the dorm. The outside rest area has American soaps playing much

We had booked into the dorm at FWD House, but on arrival we asked if there happened to be any private rooms available. Win explained they only had dorms but instead informed us of his friend's new hostel/hotel just across the road that we could change to if we preferred. It was so kind of

Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds in the dorm. There is no AC in the dorm but adequate number of fans. I had one next to my bed but some people complained it was a bit too hot. Would have been nice if they served some meals, all they do is breakfasts and sandwiches. They are expensive

The pro's Deejai is in a great location and within walking distance to everything (sometimes longer walks, though). Also, taxi drivers know where it is (pronouned Dee-Jie, not Dee-jay). But the rooms are tiny and the beds are so uncomfortable. the bathrooms flood. Wifi is only available

It has the potential to be much nicer than it actually is. Pools need cleaning & just some tender loving care to outdoor facilities. Great location though & helpful staff.

Till second day only were were told by the travelling agent whether we had taken breakfast from
