Lovely hostel. Good location. Friendly staff. Separate showers and comfy single beds...no bunk beds always a plus. More

The walls are pretty thin so u hear a lot of what goes on nextdoor. Earplugs were necessary for me to fall asleep but depends on the person next door. Value for money is great with the 38$ single rooms. More

The style is very "home stay". The house is a bit old and has a lot of rules. Only two toilets/shower rooms may not be enough. It's always occupied during the peak hours - at night and in the morning. But in general, it's still a good place to stay since the rooms are really quiet which I More

If you are looking for a hostel that feels like home and where you will get a great nights sleep, this is the place for you. We stayed for 3 nights, probably the 3 best nights of our hostel experiences. Owners couldn't have been more helpful and the atmosphere was just so homely. More

I arrived to a full on party which went on to the very early hours right outside my room. I am not sure about security, yes the front door is locked early, but I had a 6am start and went into the lounge turned the light on and got a mouthful from some guy sleeping on the couch. The More

Worst hostel I've stayed at in New Zealand. Pretty dirty, only 2 toilets for all the guests, but one of them was mostly blocked by someone who was throwing up. Staff and guests got really drunk in the nights and we had to share a room with two absolutely drunk guys. Did not really feel More

The hostel is very good, even though it is a bit far from city center. It only lacks a space for travelers to sit around and chat... And if staying close to the kitchen, it can be a bit noisy. More

The downstairs café and restaurant are definitely over-priced - there is little incentive for backpackers to spend money there. More
