Really happy with our stay here, the staff were so nice and welcoming. We had a 4 bed room to ourselves and were very impressed with the security in the room. Great price and great location! Will be back next time we visit Galway!

The hostel was really nice. Free coffee and tea all day. The breakfast was really poor though, just bread, jam and butter.

we had a room on the 3rd floor (36 I believe). The room itself was okay, just as the ensuite. Only thing is that the room is small, and after sleeping it gets really hot and sleep-stinky. There is no window or such other thing to get fresh air into that particular room, that's the only

Has a great atmosphere, great facilities. Plenty of communal spaces to meet others or be alone if you prefer. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. Best part was the location... It was a little outside of the main square away from all the commotion of the nightlife but still

Amazing stay in an amazing city! The staff were very friendly - we got a free upgrade upon arrival, they were very chatty and had lots of tips for us. The facilities were great, and the location was perfect.

My girlfriend and me stayed in the Hostel. Actually we wanted to stay only for 2 nights, but then we extended for 2 more nights. Very basic, reasonable prices, familiar atmosphere.. I really liked the fact that they have an Ukulele and a Guitar in their cozy living room. It's a cute hostel

Oughterard Holiday Hostel & Angling Center
- Station Road, Oughterard, Galway

This hostel was awesome! Such a lovely feel to it when we first arrived, and Mick was incredibly helpful. We didn't have time to try out the angling lessons, but it looks like it'd be lots of fun. Definitely a hostel for people wanting something a little different.

Celtic Tourist Hostel

We were disappointed with this hostel. The private room was hardly bigger than the bunk bed it contained -- definitely the smallest hostel room we've stayed in! The staff was friendly enough, but seemed to know absolutely nothing about Galway and couldn't answer any of our questions.

Celtic Hostel was good, for the cost. The beds were uncomfortable, we had to find our towels, and the staff insisted on putting the few guests in the hostel on right beside each other, on the same floor, which was baffling, considering the size of the place. But, overall, not a bad stay

Generally good for couple of days. Do not rely on pictures you see here. Rooms are much smaller than what you think it is in the pictures.

Swipe card entry to the apartment block, but I found the main door had been wedged open during one night, a potential personal safety issue for people staying there. Mainly clean but when on the loo had an eyeline view of the grunge under the sink taps. Facilities good, e.g. sports court,

The best hostel we've been in on our Ireland trip. Great and funny people, interesting conversations, and the location directly at Eyre Square and the train station in Galway is perfect. We met wonderful people and had fun every evening, when it was raining. The common room is great and

Served its purpose of providing me a bed and bathroom facilities for the night. Not the best value for money compared to other hostels I've stayed at in Galway.
