Staff are very friendly & helpfull.

we couldn't sleep at all because of people
shouting, kicking & banging on the doors,

New renovations were great! Lots of fun people. Great location in Galway. Literally only complaint is there were no lockers. I would definitely recommend this hostel and will probably stay there again myself.

Very clean, nice hostel. Larger than I thought. Rooms were nice and spacious. Small bathroom and small shower, but nice to have your own. Really liked the lobby and dining room areas - nice to spend time in. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Galway City Hostel
- Eyre Square, Galway

I stayed here in January, and there were some seedy-looking people that were also staying here. The hostel itself was extremely cold in all the rooms. I had to ask the front desk to turn the heat on in my room (apparently it isn't expected that people will want a heated room in January).

Salmon Weir Hostel

The steel-frame of the bunk bed was weak, and the quality of mattress and frame was so low, that the sleeping experience became a nightmare. Each little move of either lower or upper person was fully transmitted to the other person and amplified.

Our stay was indeed very pleasant here.i liked the fact that you guys had a kitchen which was very well kept and equipped. In order to save money on food we were able to cook ourselves. thanks for the wonderful stay we had.
