Great location near the Old Quarter. The room was clean, spacious and more like a hotel than hostel. The best thing was the staff who were all incredibly helpful, especially Amy, and had great recommendations for tourist attractions and food. The tour to Halong Bay which they arranged was More

Arriving at 10am after a long flight from London, the staff here couldn't have been more helpful! They let us enjoy breakfast and swiftly got a room ready for us even though check in wasn't until 2pm. They were so helpful with advice on where to go, booking tours and taxi to the airport. More

Good clean place and the staff are very nice. Do not however expect to meet any people as it is more of a family oriented guest house/hotel. No bar in the hostel. It was a bit of a let down that our room had no windows. More

We had a great stay here and were so impressed with the welcoming, helpful and English speaking staff. They went out of their way to help us with everything from laundry to flights, trips and information. They were always chatty, smiling and never pushed anything on us. We spent two More

For info: name has changed to splendid upiter hotel. Rooms are nice but the ones facing toward the street where a bit noisy. Also rooms close to reception are noisy (can hear telephone ringing at night etc). Staff was nice and breakfast ok. More

hostel is ok. quiet and clean. staff is great. they org lot of trips (halong bay, sapa, perfume pagoda, etc.) and even if you do not stay the night, they keep your luggage, allow to have a shower and have breakfast when you come early in the morning. Btw, not exactly the cheapest trips in More

Best hostel we have stayed at while travelling South East Asia. Such a great atmosphere, clean bathrooms and enough space in the dorms. Really pleasant staff, would have love to have stayed longer! More

Dorm toilet is average, hotel in general looks quite old and rundown on the whole. Quiet place to sleep, decent blankets and AC. There's hot water too. Only thing is that you have to climb to get to your dorm. Certain beds were small and certain beds were huge. More

Very helpful and courteous staff in a hotel with good rooms. It has a hotel rather than hostel feel. I stayed in a three bed private room which was good and comfortable, but also saw the dorms which looked decent and sociable. The location in the old town is great. I would recommend the More

Extremely helpfull staff, they gave us lots of helpful tips. Room was very nice with AC & hot water. Breakfast (choice of 7 options) was tasty. Overall very good value for money. I wouldn't book the tours (Halong Bay etc.) through the hotel though, they are way overprized. More

Very clean dorm room (which was more like 2 hotel rooms that had been put together). They let us check in early which was great after an overnight train from Sapa. Downside: construction work started at 8am both mornings (including Sunday). Breakfast was great and included. Staff were More
