I stayed here purely for the location which did not disappoint! Facilities were very good, each bed had a light and power point which was handy. However, I didn't appreciate having to pay 5 pounds a day for wifi - this is provided free at every other hostel I've been to, and 5 pounds is a More

This was my first experience at a hostel and it was very positive! Very close to the Waterloo station & a kind taxi driver helped point us where to go. We saw a total of 3 or 4 staff in our 36 hour stay & all of them were very welcoming and helpful - even helped us carry our bags upstairs. More

Location was very convenient - short walk to Waterloo station and also to some of London's most famous sites (Big Ben, the Eye). Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the bar downstairs had a great atmosphere (allowing outside food was a plus). I liked the single bathroom/shower on each More

Was travelling alone. Having a dedicated bathroom totally helps. Clean linens, comfy duvet, spacious room. Easy 15-25 min walk to S. Kensington Station, Knightsbridge area, and Portobello Market. Bicycles available for hire right by their doorstep. More

the newest of Astor Museum hostels is great - it's a pity that they accept people only as old as 35 - if you have not reached the age limit, this hostel is a must-stay in London! More

Travel joy is a fantastic hostel, just 15 min bus from the city centre, it still manages to feel like an escape from the busyness of London. The staff were so friendly and helpful, Bobbie even took us clubbing one night! It really felt like a big happy family. There was an ajoining pub More

Although it is far from the tube station, the hostel is located just in front of Thames with a bus stop right in front of it. Free soft drinks are a plus. Awesome view. Would stay there again, for sure! More

Brilliant staff, very comfortable bed, clean, good location (less than 5 mins to Earl's Court tube station and 15 mins to natural history/science museums) and in a nice area. Definitely worth a stay! More

The rooms were fantastic! They had a big screen TV, computer, fridge, coffee and water. It felt very private with the curtains around the beds. The beds were by far the most comfortable we found durning our three week tour of Europe (including hotel beds). The owner was so nice and helpful More

Location was okay, about a 10 minute walk to the station. Extremely hard to get home after the trains stop though. Took us nearly 2.5 hours to get back by bus. Very basic room, literally just a bed and wardrobes. We were right next to the bathroom which was helpful, but shower pressure More

LOVED PALMER LODGE! I first stayed at Palmers Lodge with a study abroad group and I loved it so much that I ended up going back four weeks later when I was continuing my trip on my own. The staff is very helpful and always greets you on your way in and out. The whole lodge is so much More

For value for money, I could not complain at all, great location, close to tube, very clean indeed. My only bad experience occurred when a member of staff just flung open my curtain around midnight demanding to see my card and never had the decency to explain or apologise for the intrusion More
