Love this place! Can see how it is not for everyone, the pods are open ended so there is not as much privacy as some people might like. Despite this I found them quite intimate, I'd recommend asking for a pod on the second floor as the height gives you a little more privacy. Awesome staff,

Really nice hostel and great location. Atmosphere was not that great and it was hard to meet people even in a 10 bed room. There a no drinking or smoking policy, which reduces the social side of the hostel and meeting new people.

Fantastic hostel - clean, feels safe, in a good area, so close to the beach, really easy to find. $5 pasta meals on Tuesday and free breakfasts are great. Staff were friendly, approachable, helpful and had a sense of humour.

This hostel is dirty, above a noisy bar, parking is street parking a half mile away. Staff friendly but when I wanted to ask a question I waited for 15 minutes while she continued a personal conversation. Better choice is HI hostel in Santa Monica.

Owner treats you like a piece of money, an shouldn't work in a hostel. The fact his miserable face is there daily made an average stay. I don't normaly make reviews but the effort here was necessary...... Stay around the corner!
