Great hostel, fairly friendly staff at the check in desk, but great tour guide for the Brooklyn Bridge tour - very helpful and gave us some good tips.

The hostel was quite ok, unless you don't mind squelching beds. Also, take notice if you reserve a shared room, there is no breakfast included.

We really enjoyed our stay at the American Dream Hostel. The rooms were clean and well-heated, bathrooms were spotless. The owner was also very friendly and the breakfast was great!
The location of the hostel is fantastic - a short walk to the subways and the neighbourhood itself is

stayed here a week ago already, this time in a "dorm" which is a funny description because every dorm in this hostel is made for 2 persons, not more (which means bunk bed, sink, heater). the bathrooms on the floors are great; clean and hot water. if you're alone or bored, there's always

Great location. Quite run down and very basic but I was only using it as a place to sleep. There isn't much going on socially but I was there when it was really quiet.

The room is very small and almost nothing is inside; and it is hard to take a shower in your showering room: no hanger or hook or other place to put clothes. However, since it was cheap and clean; plus very nice staff, security and gym facility, I should not complain about it. Anyway, I
