I would recommend Ryokan GH to most people, for a couple of days stay. It has very good facilities, the use of a communal iPad is a nice touch. The bathroom area is the best I've seen in any guesthouse, wonderful showers with an endless supply of hot water, and always clean. The 4 bed

Its a very nice hostel! Altough i could barly sleep the first night because they had a party in the hostel.
Other than that, nice place with "boxes" to sleep in, so you have your own privacy! I also liked that they have a lot of relaxing areas like the sofas near the entry, the balcony

Overall an average place to stay. The second room offered was much better than the first that the staff described as all the same, far from the same. Clean bathrooms, free breakfast, tea and coffee plus drinking water good. Careful not all CCTV working and we had an incident of theft.

Overall this is a good hostel. The location is great. The bed was comfortable, with each bunk having a light, shelf and outlet. I just wish that the tv hadn't been on so loudly and constantly in the common area and that they had more information about what to do in Penang.
