La Controra Hostel was a perfect place to stay in the Eternal City. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in assisting with any of our needs. The rooms were spacious and tidy. The hostel itself is located close enough to the Trevi Fountain and the Metro that you never have to worry More

Funny Palace is conveniently located near the central station (Termini), which makes it easy to get around the city as both Metro lines and many city/local buses depart from here. The room we had was very nice, and felt like having our own apartment in Rome. That being said, this can lead More

The place is far from main attractions and MAIN TRAIN stops, but very nice neighbourhood. The hostel charged an extra $2 euros per person on top of the fee which I thought was weird because the other hostels I've stayed at in Rome did not have this additional fee. More

The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and super knowledgeable about Rome. The locks on the doors are not very good, there was nowhere safe to keep your valuables and they kept your key while you were out. The garden was amazing - perfect for kids to play in. But the metro and bus More

We loved this place! It was clean, modern, quiet rooms, a good common area to socialize in, and Papa Germano is SUCH a wonderful man! If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!! More

This really is a hotel not a hostel. It was a WONDERFUL change! The beat hostel I have ever been in. The staff was really amazing as well. The only down side (and it is minor) is that it is in an area with a LOT of other hotels. It is a good sobering walk back from the center of town More

Really nice hostel! Maybe misinterpreted the "for women only" as not being primarily for lesbians. Felt out of place but still nice! More

I booked for 3 nights and they probably overbooked. So, I had to move to other room. You will have to pay for breakfast and towels. The beds are pretty unconfortable. I had a personal towel that, I suppose, they tried to steal. I had to go myself to their laundry to find it between other More

This was a great place to stay while in Rome. It's very clean, very close to Termini Station and main tourist sites. The staff is well informed and really helpful, I noticed that they speak a lot of languages too. Good breakfast and the free wi-fi is a plus. Definitely recommend! More

What can I say, It's the Yellow. Close to the Termini Station, lots of like minded travelers, great neighborhood, and the bar is an amazing place to meet people. They have an event every night of the week in the bar and its always a great night. Only downside is the noise from other guests More
