Sydney Harbour YHA
- 110 Cumberland St, The Rocks, Sydney
- 27 Jan 2012
YHA hostels are very clean and nice to stay at, but I can’t believe that a big hostelchain like that charges for using internet. And it’s not cheap either.

This hostel was my first stay in Sydney. Effie & Sasha made me feel right at home when I arrived. My backpack got lost in Munich, so I didn't have any clothes or towel, so I borrowed a towel :-)
They try to make everyone feel good and they are very friendly. But its bit to expensive for

Bounce
- Chalmers Street, Sydney
- 5 Feb 2012
Best hostel I have ever stayed in, worth the extra money and even though location is not central - very easy to catch the train/bus as it is just across from the station.

Loved this place! Staff were super friendly and helpful and offered great free city tours with a free beer at the end! The downstairs bar is a lot of fun too with a good happy hour. Good location too, right by central station

Jackaroo Hostel
- 107-109 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross, Sydney
- 23 Jan 2012
WE had a good experience at Jackaroo. The hostel is not in a great area, but it is walking distance to the main things to see in Sydney. Also, the free internet and breakfast are a big bonus!

Sydney Central YHA
- 11 Rawson Place, Sydney, Sydney
- 7 Feb 2012
Did not like the way mugs were stored in the kitchen. Top down on a cloth. A good breeding ground for bacteria. Also, I suffer from vertigo and the arrangement of mirrors in the elevator made me feel very dizzy Most backpackers these days provide free wi-fi, but at least your charges are

I stayed at the both hostel, YHA & 790. Cleaness: YHA, Kitchen: 790, Space: YHA is more spacious, 790's building is pretty old. Bathroom: YHA, 790 is not too bad, just need more cleaning, Staffs: 790 really friendly and helpful, always smile. YHA's staffs.. One of the female staff mistook

Eva's Backpackers
- 6-8 Orwell Street, Kings Cross, Sydney
- 4 Feb 2012
While some staff were very lovely and friendly, others took unhelpfulness to new levels. And we were given dirty sheets to use. A private room offering a reasonably quiet night's sleep. Not the worst hostel we've stayed at by a long shot but far from the best.

Spend the extra $4-8 and stay here. The 10 bedroom dorm was super clean, as well as the toilets and kitchen. Staff was friendly and the location made it easy to save money by walking to most places, but also having easy access to transit. Rooftop patio was a bonus, multiple bbqs and

World Square Hostel
- 640 George Street, Sydney, Sydney
- 28 Jan 2012
Good location but it is located on top of a nightclub so if you value your sleep stay elsewhere. The kitchen is of decent size and contains most of your cutlery needs.

It was good because it was right in the middle of everything, easy access to everything. BUT, don't stay here unless you want to be awake until 2am with the club that is one floor below you. Also, ask not to stay on the level with the kitchen, blazing hot!
