After staying at another DC hostel for 4 days, I was disappointed that I hadn't booked my entire trip at HI. The linens were clean and smelled fresh. The rooms had locks, the breakfast was delicious, the staff was perfect, and the other guests were pleasant. I'm middle-aged, but that

Check your bed!! I stayed in room 2A and got a few bites on my legs. I'm not 100 % sure it's bed bugs (could be mosquitos too), but be aware. The hostel is located in the Capitol Hill area, not downtown. Still it's only a 10 min walk from Union Station and a 20 min walk from the National

The location was pretty great for the city. It was definitely a little hidden, i'm lucky i remembered that the hostel was close to a pizza place otherwise i would have walked right by it. Would be nice to have a sign outside. The hostel was decently clean, but the kitchen floor felt

It was a nice hostel. It was really quiet in the night. But it was a little bit far from the National Mall, but close to Chinatown and the Metro.

Having a hand dryer in the nearest bathroom wake you every 5 minutes during the night is not ideal. Shower amenities were restrictive. Good location -paid premium price for one star accomodation. No shoes inside = unusual, my feet were black.

Will be interesting to see what it'll be like once facilities are completed. The cleaning lady was the most on top of things out of anyone. So at least the place is clean!

Good location but lack of kitchen facility and not many bathrooms made it a little bit less enjoyable. If you want somewhere to just base yourself from in DC this is good, but if you're looking for somewhere to hang out try another place.

If you have the choice, don't stay there. I booked it last minute because there was no more beds available at Hostelling International. The staff asks too many private questions, the linens and pillows are disgusting. I was in a mixed dorm but ended up sleeping in the common room because

Not bad at all. Will go back..
There is A/C.. It is difficult to find the hostel since it is hiding between restaurants.. If you are sensitive, do not go there. There is a night club downstairs, which will make you unable to sleep easily if your eyes are not heavy enough. The location is
