Hi Alexc - good luck on your trip to Dublin! It is a great city and easy to get arround. For tips on eating out a lot of the restaurants do early bird meals so head out early and catch these. Also most of the pus do good pub grub, a great place for students/backpackers is the bad ass cafe in temple bar. Temple Bar is a great area, great to visit during the day, full of tourists at night tho. Check out the village and whelans on wexford st, both great irish pubs which often have live music. Trinity College is lovely to walk arround in and just chill out and watch the world go by. Also Dublin bus do great sightseeing tours or if you want to do it yourself you can get value tickets for the bus - enjoy your trip and let me know if you would like more info
