getting ready for my trip. Leaving tomorrow @ 11am after work.

in prague right now, and sooooo pissed. i think there was a glitch in the hostel world system that made me overbook, i mean why am i paying 50 euros for a 12.50 1 night stay!! this is not fun at all. i hope this gets resolved!

sorry no recent updates... computer access in bulgaria and romania are just is just too hard. in budapest right now, getting ready for slovakia and austria for tomorrow. Prague will be my last stop before i go home in 3 days. i will miss poland in this trip, and but it's ok there will always be the next time...
istanbul was pretty good. the aya sofia is amazing, as well as the underground cisterns... and the turkish bath is sooo cool. more updates hopefully, internet access is again getting better.
oh, btw - i saw a skin head in bulgaria who was almost ready to kill me... i mean just because of the color of my skin u know... thankfully i was at the right place at the right time, so he really could not do anything to me... it was so obvious, he was wearing a tshirt with a big skin head print on it (thank god i noticed)... anyway... everything is OK and i am definitely having fun!!!

enough abt greece, i am on my way to istanbul. i have a couple of days leftbefore this trip ends. 5 more cities... sofia, bucharest. krakov, budapest and prague!! i am cramming, but of course i have to remember, IT IS ABT THE JOURNEY NOT THE DESTINATION. i have $200 left, hopefully i can make it home. LOL...

i am stuck in santorini, it's not so bad but my itinerary is now all f-cked up. no ferry services to turkey!!!! well, i'd have to wait a week!!!! this is not exactly the greek holiday i had in mind. forget abt what u saw in that movie...

ok, if not for the ancient civilized ppl who used to live here, and for the warm azure waters... greece is a country with first world prices but 3rd world quality of services... it's dirty, the traffic jam is ridiculous... no customer service in any way, even the tourist office is useless, even for direction!!! if you want warm weather with nice views and cheap prices, go somewhere else, pleeease.... you guys...

loving every minute of this trip... made some friends who are very interesting.. learned some lessons abt life, and how to live with very little money... i am a changed person!

st petersburg was really beautiful... such a great experience. crossing the russian border was such a challenge... i mean scary, but i survived it. can't believe i went to russia by myself, considering...

in helsinki right now, getting ready to leave for athens tomorrow in the evening. can't wait to see the acropolis. from there - i'd be touring the islands of santorini, mykonos, and lesvoz. plan to hop off to turkey and eventually end up in istanbul. then finally i'd we walking europe to asia, literally!!! after this, i'd work my way up to prague, passing by romania, bulgaria, slovakia, poland and hungary. i'm kinda excited but it looks like i have 11 days to enjoy my vacation. it's ending soon... ugh!!! more updates to come...

i am getting ready to leave for estonia! i'll be sleeping in the bus again en route. leaving vilnius at 21:00, arriving 06:30 in the AM. so Oct 1, no hostel booking. Oct 2, i'd be sleeping on a train en route to St Petereburg in Russia. Oct 3, 4 I am staying at nevsky hostel right at the heart of st petersburg.

will be in helsinki for 1 day or so, then again flying to athens on oct 6, monday. by then i will have 10 days to still see istanbul, budapest, sofia, bratislava, krakov & prague. wish me luck!!!

i am currently in a bus station on riga, latvia. waiting for my bus to Vilnius, lithunia departing at 18: 45. then leaving vilnius early in the AM to the curonian spit where i'd be hiking pretty much the whole day. i'll try to catch a bus to estonia, and then wander around talinn for the day. i'd be sleeping on the bus again on my way to russia... then i'll be in st petersburg for 2 days. ideally i would fly to istanbul after this but we'll see.. if the flights are too expensive, i'll take a bus to prague and then i'll work my way down to istanbul... if i have more time, i want to see athens and mykonos... i'll be posting guys!!!

oh gosh, norway is so friggin expensive!!!! i think i spent all my pocket money here and i am not even halfway in my trip.

ok, to make it clear since i was kinda garbled earlier ( i am soooo hungry now can't concentrate):

9/28 sleeping on a bus on my way to stockholm
9/29 sleeping on a ferry on my way to riga.
9/30 i'll be staying in vilnius.

also, no hostel booking for 9/29, i'd be on a baltic ferry on my way to riga, leaving stockholm @ 18:00. i still have the whole day to see STOCKHOLM. then arriving in Riga at 11:30 am. this small city i'll only stay for half a day... then get on a bus on my way to vilnius at 18:30 on 9/30. i'd definitely be sleeping in vilnius for that night. arriving @ 23:30 in vilnius. from then on, i'll be looking to hike the curonian spit for the whole day before i depart for talinn at night. maybe i'll sleep on the bus again on 9/31.

no hostel booking for 9/28 i´d be sleeping on a bus on my way to stockholm. arriving stockholm @ 6:30 am. i´ll keep u posted guys...
