Hi! I have been to Instanbul in Turkey and i found it that is a magical city! many places to visit, great food, kind people (crazy taxi drivers) and turkish baths (nice experience). Oh i also liked the big market (kapali tsarsi) that you can find anything.

I really enjoy all the planning of my trips and you are right it can be hard to decide where to go with limited time available. I search for guidebooks on the internet for the country I am going to visit, but I do not buy them. I go to my local library with a list of the books and authors. Then they can get them at no cost for me to borrow through their inter-loan program. I even take the one I think is the best for my trip with me and I can just keep renewing it on line while I am gone. I really liked Salzburg too. I especially liked the Fortress and the Augustiner beer hall with the beer brewed by the monks.
Looking at your pictures I think you have been to Berlin, I was in Berlin in March of 2006. Is that the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedachtnis Kirche in one of the pictures, it looks very familair to me.

Hi Britt,
I had 6 nights 7 days in Austria. I went to Salzburg for 2 nights. Stayed at Institute St. Sebastian. It is a hostel not listed on Hostelworld, but if you do a google search it will be easy to find. Had a 2 bed dorm for 19 euro a night and it included a small breakfeast, nice place.
2 nights in Bad Gastien at Euro Youth Hotel and Krone. Had a private room and full bathroom for 25 euro a night breakfast included. Best room I had this trip. Nice Bar / Restaurant too. I booked this through HostelBookers they have dorm rooms as well.
2 nights in Vienna at Wombats The Base. 25 euro a night for a bed in 6 bed dorm with in suite. Booked here at Hostelworld. Typical party hostel. Nice bar to meet people. Happy hour starts at 6PM and beer is 1 euro, met a lot of friendly people here at night. Also made a stop for a few hours in Melk and went and saw the Abbey glad I did it was really beautiful.
