hi. i went to Adelaide Hostel to have breakfast (a good one), cos as you said it's connected with the Adelaide Hostel, and it's cute and safe. HI hostel in San Diego is so beatiful. it's in the middle of Gaslamp Quarter, full of club, pub and disco, with a wonderful nightlife (you'll enjoy it). in San Diego i stayed 4 days and i visited, with the city, all the beaches: La Jolla, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach. you have to go there: it's so californian style. I didnt went to Mexico and Tijiuana. people say it's crazy, other that's unsafe, because full of poor people. anway it's sure that when you come back from mexico to usa you have to wait long time to came back. if you want to go there are also group trip that go there with train. let me know if you need more tips.ok?

i belive that addicted is not good for your health no matter what it is. but when it comes to travelling...keep it up... getting lost is the best part ;-)

I am sooo glad for you that you are about to travel. First of all take your smile with you. You will meet maaany people. Second dont truste anybody...you never know.Especially if you love alcohol. Never leave your personal stuff to hostel without lockers!!!NEVER. Also never go out alone at nights. Find new friends at hostels and then go out. Ask every time if water is drinkable at the area for the tourists....Trust me on this...je jej e...Have a nice trip SImon

ahh sweet sounds like youve got a few nice places to check out on your first trip! i left perth in feb, went to london, brussels where a mate lives, then switz for a week snowboarding, then arrived in scotland in march been living here since, with a few trips here n there....ireland a couple of times...london...travelled heaps around scotland with a bit more to do. All thru august im travelling with 3 mates from home, we're doing scotland, london (im doubling up quite a bit but thats ok) then over to europe...paris amsterdam switz again and italy....then the US in september and i head home in october for a wedding. Did ya get all that! sorry that too ages haha. Im in san fran from the 12th, Las vegas from the 16th and LA from about the 21st, if your in any of those places then i might run into ya!

in those 3 cities french is used. in toronto its more english, in montreal its half french and english, and in quebec city its more french... so i think its a good idea to bring with you a french book... when are you gonna be in canada?

i dont really know hostels in montreal...
but i did a search on hostelworld and i suggest you to book an hostel in the Plateau Mont-Royal, its a nice place to be and really close from downtown and the mountain... an hostel in downtown should be ok to, but maybe it could have more noises...

Unfortunately I have not been in The USA or Canada... but well my advice can be applied there perfectly well... make the most of your vacations, enjoy every second of these countries and their people... that's the only advice I can give you as for USA or Canada... If you ever visit Europe then I'll be able to help you more! kisses and enjoy yourself!!

well, montreal is great and safe and people's nice. i suggest you to go downtown on st-denis and ste-catherine street... you should also go in the old montreal, really nice!
there's a lots of things you can do.
so just ask me if you want to know something more specific...

hey, yeah im fairly new to this site too... i lived in california for 5 years. tho never went to hawaii or canada. where abouts in USA are u going? as for money, it depends whether you are going to go shopping or just sight seeing, Tijuana in mexico is good for bargain shopping and fakes. San Diego is a lot like brisbane and perth very nice! Go to Nordstroms for a luxury shopping adventure. id probalby take $500 a week spending money for shopping and sightseeing?! i dunno! im so jealous! haha
