The city is nice n calm, with a compact and neat city centre yet a typical British city. The fourth biggest city in the country (size-wise not population-wise) known as the socialist capital of the UK by late 80s. Two big universities and a very nice countryside with 20 min drive. Lots of big inter-city (in the city)parks and perhaps the greenest city in the country. Welcome to Sheffield! Any other information you need just let me know. Cheers!
