oh yes i would have if my memory worked. there is a really cool desert trip you can do. arrg sorry i can't remember. but anyway, once you start travelling down there they have heaps of tours leaving from the hostels/hotels. thats what i did, just went on one of the camel treks that left from the hotel. there are heaps of them and i think they're all pretty decent. people down there will be able to recommend good ones as well. sorry for being completely unhelpful. but really i would go with the ones from your accomm rather than whatever lonely planet suggests cos they're all fairly similar. have a great time!!
