I suppose the criteria for a best city depend on what you're after. It would be hard to pick an overall. Rome is great for the history packed in. Then there's the towns of the Amalfi coast, totally different, more beauty rather than the history side. Also some of my favourite places are off the beaten track, or just plain total wilderness, just because they are just that, away from civilisation. I suppose the one city that has the most of everything for me was Vienna and it was great to have had the chance to have lived there. Sorry, no photos from there as I didn't have a camera at that time! p.s. about 2,500 photos to go on-line from my recent travels to the Amalfi coast & the weekend in the hills!

Excellent photos! Someday I'll make Copenhagen too (don't know when!) I'm contantly putting more photos on flickr - Just finishing Eurodisney and a weekend walking break in the hills.

Well, as soon as you know when you'll come I suggest you to book your visit to the last supper, it's really hard to get to see it, especially after the "da vinci code", but I think it's worth it!From there you can visit the church of "santa maria delle grazie", take a walk to "S. Ambrogio" basil, then there's the Sforza's castle, the "duomo"of milan and the gallery of "king vittorio emanuele". I strongly reccomend you to go to the roof of the "duomo":there's an amazing view of Milan and on a clear day you che see the Alpi on the horizon.
When are you going to Dublin! I just got back from there!!

I know a nice hostel near the centre of the city, litte, quite nice and not so expensive. In what are interested in? I can give tips about whatever but in barcelona the most important places are at the the most touristics as well.
