hi pretty new on here would like to be yr friend... love travelling single 24 yr old female from n,wales comin over to ireland via ferry holyhead,dublin in my car any tips for my itinary to get the best out of ireland in 1 wk xxxxx

Oh, I also recommend you to walk "into" the city. Say, from Piazza San Marco, start walking through the narrow streets and get to see the little stores and nice restaurants they have there, it's quite a nice experience. Just make sure you do it in the right place, otherwise you'll see nothing but houses hehe, and it's also quite easy to get lost since there are tons of little streets and you'll often find that you can't cross to the other side because there's a canal in between. It can get a bit frustrating haha.

Well, actually I didn't spend much time there, but you must go to Piazza San Marco (the famous pigeon kingdom lol) with the basilica and the campanile. You should also see the Rialto Bridge, which is a famous spot too. To move around there you can take a "vaporetto" (water bus) which travels through the canals. You can take it from just in front of the train station and is quite inexpensive (as opposed to the gondolas, which are a super scam lol). Hope that helps!
