HI saya I wish you a nice Trip; I live in Rome and I've been several times in Paris and one time in Barcelona. I imagine you have a guidebook of my time so I guess you already planned to see the most commons sites in my town, as St. Peters the Colusseum, the forum and so on. I suggest you to have a walk in the narrow streets of the center. You will find a lot of little shops around "corso vittorio emanuele" and while walking you will suddenly meet the Pantheon an ancient roman temple which is now a church, the dome is original! don't miss Piazza Navona once there is nearby..
In the evening you can go to have something to drink in Trastevere; it is nice and full of pub and .. don't miss a real pizza in my town, the one you can find allover the world is quite fake: go only in those place where they cook it in a wood hoven.
It's difficult to say what's more "roman" in Roma, It's my town and I've allways been there. buth I guess that if you have ever been so far you wll be surprised.

At the end of september I'll leave for Japan. had never been so far in the east..
It is nice: we will cross the worls to see exactly the opposite.

Paris is amazing but you need to get out and see Versailles, it just blows you away! Rome has this amazing atmosphere you cant really feel anywhere else, and the food is a big part of that: Don't turn down any food!

Barcelona, been before and going again, it was that good! kabul youth hostel in plaza reial off las ramblas is where most backpackers congregate or pass through to meetup and decide what to do, you have to pop in around 7ish to meet the crowd, also has cheap drinks, great atmosphere. clubbing was cool all times i went, pple in barcelona are so chilled out compared to london, but similarly it's too international to touch the culture, do all the usual sightseeing, and shopping in zara, but my own tip is do the start clubbing at 12, finish at 5ish, go to the beach for the sunrise, then hit the cafe's around 6/7ish for a blowtorched hot chocolate, pain au "whatever u want", or fresh orange juice, then sleep for the morning and get up so u can travel around 2...

when are you in rome ? I"ll be there in the middle of june, around the 12th. ;-)
