now for the places you have to go to empire state building, madison square garden, central park, downtown like the village, soho, chinatown, you have to go to union square, try out the beach either in rockaway or jones beach if you have time, the south street seaport. and for shopping when you go to the empire state building theres a macy's there which is really famous for being one of the biggest department stores, and on that block theres a lot of stores and souvenir shos, also downtown in chinatown there is. if u want to go really expensive 5th ave is good for that. hope this helps and sorry i havent gotten to you bu ti have been away for the past 2 months.

Depends what you like....you can pick up a Toronto City Pass (http://www.citypass.com/city/toronto.html) which gets you into the city's top attractions. There are also Toronto Harbour boat cruises, which gives a beautiful view of the city's skyline (especially in the evening)... There is a bus tour from Toronto to Niagara Falls which also takes you through Niagara on the lake (absolutely beautiful) and you stop at some wineries and get to explore Niagara Falls (http://www.niagaratours.ca/). Hope some of this helps! Any more questions just ask :)

have a great trip and travel safe... in new york city i suggest taking in the free parks and museum and concerts first and traveling with a metrocard for the train and bus for $24 which pays for it self with all the running around. walk from uptown to downtown for a real experience. visit the newyorkstate.com website for full details.

Yuo should go to the CN tower. it's the world's tallest free standing building. but it's kinda expensive to go up. Niagra Falls is a big tourist attraction. Maybe go see a Blue Jay's game. You can get tickets for less than 20$, but they are pretty far away.

Hi Marcello,
As the others have said, you might feel at home on College street. I also recommend Kensington Market (if you are here on a Sunday, there are weekly events called Pedestrian Sundays that are a lot of fun). And just next to it is Spadina St. (between College and Queen) which is home to a vibrant Chinatown. If you are into the arts, Queen St. West is worth a stroll, and Roncesvalles Avenue out west (by the lovely High Park) is very pleasant as well.
If you are looking for a good, non-touristy guide to the city, I would recommend picking up a guide book that is put out by NOW magazine.

Here are a few links to get you started:

Hope that helps, and have a great trip!

Hi Marcello, I leave for Europe in July so I will miss you but when In Toronto you should visit College st. between Bathurst st. and Ossington, that is where many Portuguese( I am one)Brazillians and italians hang out..its fun for a drink and dinner. Nova Era is our bakery and cafe there.
The CN tower for the view.Queen st. between university and spadina st. for shopping and people watching at The Brave Bull patio on the street.
Have fun..Ciao
