Hi missy1! Good luck with your London trip! It's so long time since I last were there, no tips from me would be very useful... :)

In London:
If you're curious and advernturous enough go and discover it yourself. If not there are lots of tours by double-deckers in London.
Musts: Manage to see London Bridge, Tower of London, City, V&A, Natural History and Science Museums, there are a dozen of parks and gardens in London if you like city landscapes, but Hyde Park is a must. Thames is a good fun. Choose a sunny and clear day and take the Eye to see the whole city from the sky.
There are also a lot of nice places to go and see, I do prefer Leicester Square with loads of theatres and cinemas.

Hi Missy, i havent spent that long in london but if u look at the hostel i stayed at which was in notting hill, it was pretty good, and great value for money, everyone staying there agreed and they had stayed at other places in london and moved there, its also right near a subway and lots of restaurants.
Hope that helps

Hi thanks for the message. Im planning on being in London around the same time with a few friends. Most of the sight seeing stuff (Big Ben etc.) you can walk to or take the tube a few stops and see. I haven't been in a few years so I don't have any tips to give except that once you get over the shock of how expensive everything is you'll have plenty of fun.:-)

Hi Marina,

the answer to your question is very obvious: I LOVED CROATIA. It's one of my favourite corners in Europe and I'm very looking forward to going back in there. What Croatian city are you from by the way??

As for Slovenia, well... I can't give you much information since I went to there on the occasion of a summer university... I did some tour in the country though... the places i visited were Maribor, Pohorije Mountains, Ljubljana, Kranjska Gora, Triglavski Narodni Park, Bled Lake and Skocjan cave - I loved every single place I list in here... Slovenia is a country with a great variety of landscapes, so you must definetely go and check by yourself... you won't be deceived.

If you've got any further questions, do write me : ) bog i sretni praznici u sloveniji!

Hey Missy. This is a great site for booking hostels but not all that great for communicating etc.

If you go to where are you now.com - wayn.com - it's a travel networking site - and look for Graham Holloway then i'm there and look forward to answering your questions.

And in return you can give me some Croatia advice, going there in August.

Graham

Hi Missy...i really loved Croatia and would love to go back! If/when I do i'll def take you up on your offer or a tour of your hometown!
As for tip bout London...its one of my fav places! There is sooo much to see. I agree with Frost that the Tate Modern is great...but i wasn't such a fan of the London Eye, you get a great view of the houses of parliament and the palace but thats bout it! I def think its worth venturing to some of the places outside of central London, such as Greenwich, Hanpton Court and Richmond. Besides that its great to just wander the streets and discover London! I'd also recommend going to Portabello Rd markets...very croweded but worth it.

Hey, missy! Well, you don´t have to ask me twice! Croatia is one of my next destinations for sure!
Well, when I was in London, for sure I loved the ride on the London Eye... ask for students promotions, cause I got my ride for free because of the Oyster Card!
And, best of all, for me, was the Camdem Market and the Tate Modern! Great places, I´ve spent hours on both. For me was the best of London... I had few days there... I wish I can go again someday!
Nice trip to you!!!

London is great! I'm never ready to leave there, and I'll be back at the beginning of June. No big tips really...go see some theatre if you like that sort of thing. Get same day tickets for 1/2 price at Leicester Square (the building with the clock tower).

Where are you staying?

I would certainly visit the main area by the river in the Old Town. The bars and restaurants are packed every evening. I would just walk around Ljubljana as it is actually a very small city. And if you are hiring a car - Predjama Castle, the Vrsic Pass in the Alps and Lake Bled are all very pretty places to visit.
Hope you have a great time - I'm sure you will!
