First of all, Happy New Year to you! I was planning to go to Morocco and Egypt by May 2007. I have met some people through a travel club and I also know some people here who have families in that part of the world, so that's something I am looking in to. I am also planning to spend some time in Scotland since I missed it the last time. As you guessed by now, I don't have any solid plans. I will go where the wind takes me!!
Where in SE Asis do you plan to go. I have some family members in Thailand and the Philippines and I maybe be able to help you if you're travelling in those parts. I was able to stay with my cousins in Phukett and Bangkok and that helped a lot. As far as other regions, I sort of winged it since I did not realized that this site existed. I will help you in any way I can. Let me know!

Belated Merry Xmas by the way...I hope you had a good holiday. I plan to head back to Asia and some parts of North Africa early next spring. Did you have a hard time booking places to stay in your travels? I will be trying this for the first time and was wondering if you have.

Hi James, I'm planning a trip to your country and maybe backpack for a week or two. Any great areas to go and avoid? I went to Thailand last year and definitely stay 2 or 3 days the most in Bangkok. I stayed in Phukett mostly and it was nice. If you have the chance, it's worth it to head on to Cambodia and visit Angkor Wat. Language is quite a challenge though even amongst the locals. Have fun.
