Hi...
Though a regular visitor would be more helpful than a Thessaloniki resident, check out these cheap ones...

Obviously, I've never stayed there...

I don't think there are any "hostels" in the city

I think the other guys said everything.
250 euros isn't enough to rent an apartment, you'll need at least 300 euros for an old one.
There are no hostels in Thessaloniki, only hotels. But I don't know any because I've never stayed at one :) :)
You should also know that ATEI are located several km away from the center of Thessaloniki. It is more than 30 minutes trip by a bus.
Hope I helped you.

And now you face the real problem of the city... Thessaloniki does not have any hostels. There is only one and is definitely not recommended, I have been there and is a total mess. You shoud find yourself a cheap hotel. Sorry about this, but that is just the way it is. Good luck

Hi Todor!
I agree with croocker.I think 300 euros is a good price for a single apartment in the centre of the city.
And something more...I think you know that ATEI is placed outside of Thessaloniki in the area called Sindos?

mmm..I think that you will need to spend more money for accomodation because rents in Thessaloniki are a bit expensive comparing to other cities in Greece. If you find something around 300 Euros you should be happy. And before renting ask for any extra costs for heating etc. Maybe you should contact the University whether they can give you a room in the Universities student accomodation building. Good luck with your search
