hey alan, saw ur q\'s about australia so: go to Sydney for sure during summer... u got the beach at bondi (must see) and nightlife in Sydney is also really good. Sydney harbour is spectacular and the rocks area is fun to take a beer.. sydney harbour bridge climb tour at sunset is a must. for arts and culture melbourne is great - more like europe. its generally more relaxed and friendly than Sydney as Syd is a melting pot. for beautiful sun and beaches go to Queensland - Greet barrier reef, daintree rainforest and airlie beach are popular with tourists. Perth on the West coast is good i hear but the East coast of Aus is where its at. good luck
