We arrived late at night at about 12:30 am. I sent them an email and told them when we would arrive. We went in and climbed the stairs and one of the young managers woke up but had expected us. Maybe you could email them through Hostelworld. I know they have a computer as they are on it at breakfast time. I am sure it will work out for you.

When I was there usually came back from Istanbul night after midnight between one to five a.m. and the door was always opened. Furthermore people are awake quite late and restaurants and even the roof bar of the hostel were open to 1:30 a.m in week but they might close earlier in winter time, not being sure. When you are making reservation you should tell arriving time.

Hi, I also had a problem getting in contact with them, the contact number always went straight to message minder. Due to a problem with our booking we stayed in a private apartment so I could not comment on the rooms in the hostel. The private apartment was a little on the grotty side but the location is excellent. We also stayed in Second home hostel about two weeks before this, this was a nice clean hostel with a good breakfast and is also centrally located. Hope you have some luck in getting a reply. Enjoy your holidays...

I did send an e-mail to them today, hoping they answer to me. What do you like to know? It is not a luxurious place but if you just like to see Istanbul it´s quite good chose for accommodation, I think it is one of the cheapest with breakfast which contains tomato slices, olives, cheese, butter, jam, sometimes sausage and a little basket of bread. For drink is nescafe or tea (cay) so it´s typical Turkish breakfast. Showers are warm and staff consist of young men :-) and they are kind. So have a pleasant stay in Southern Cross Hostell and if you have any more question please do not hesitate to ask.

We enjoyed our stay at Southern Cross. It is right in the center of Sultanahmet close to everything. The room was very clean and the breakfast was fine. There are a couple of very helpful young men who run the hostel. My husband and I had a double room with a shower. I am not sure what the dorm rooms are like. Hope this helps.
