Thank you so much for going into detail about your trip. I appreciate your advice as well. I usually set up all my day trips/ excursions from whatever hostel I am at while on vacation and I was curious about doing that for Cairo. You just confirmed it for me. Thanks again for your help! Hi dmlippert6148! I wanted to know how your experience was overall in Cairo considering you are an American. It is THE #1 place I want to visit, but I am concerned with safety...not too many people like us in the Middle East/Africa.
