About me

I'm currently working and living in London but I'm preparing to head to the rest of the UK as well as various countries in Europe before I head back to Canada. Some of my favourite places are San Francisco, London and Paris though I'm looking to add a few more places to the list. I also have a Troll that travels with me. Yeah, weird, I know.

Hey Jess, haven\'t been on here in a while, just getting your message now. Venice is fablious!!! Even when you are there it doesn\'t seem real :) The obvious spots to check out is Saint Marcs square and Cathedral. The Dodges Palace next door to the church. The Bridge of Sighs is just behind the palace, great photo op. For shopping there are tonnes of places in the alleys behind St. Marcs square. Love walking those alleys. I got my dad and brother silk ties there for a great price and a cashmier pashmina for myself! :) Buy a Venecian handmade carnival mask. I love mine. The whole Gondola thing is a tourist trap, but if you find a bunch of people to go with to split the cost do it. Otherwise just use the hop on hop off ferrys to travel the canals. I checked out the beaches of Lido, one of the islands with cars :) That was nice. For food, everything I ate there was great, from the stereotypical pizza and pasta to sandwiches. And the wine is the best on earth!!! Oh and the Rialto Bridge is awesome. All white marble, very nice history there to read up on. Oh and if you are into glass works, anything from pendants to earings to beautiful vases the local Murano glass is fab! Can be pricey though so shop around. I stayed at Bax Pax Venice, great area, nice piazza with markets in the morning. Basically it was a big house converted to a hostel so it had a nice homely feeling. Well I hope this helps!! Have an awesome trip, I can\'t wait to go back!!!!!! Ciao! Kim :)

Hey! God I could spend MONTHS there! I love Italy the most I would have to say. I would say go for Rome. It really is amazing and there is so much to do. Venice is also awesome not Rome really is as good as you can get. If you can tho make it to the Cinque Terre on the north/west coast! Google it, it\'s amazing! Have fun!

If you\'d put your Dublin trip back by a week you would\'ve been here for Paddys Day! Off the top of my head I can only think of the usual tourist sights...Guinness Factory, Jameson Whiskey factory, Trinity College/Book of Kells, Bus Tours etc... My cousin did a walking tour in Dublin city last summer though. He said the guide was absolutely full of information. The tour was mainly about the 1916 Rising, getting our independance from Britain etc. Not sure if that would interest you? You land here on a Sat...so you\'ll have to experience a Saturday night out on Temple Bar, Dublins main pub/restaurant area. Hotels are quite cheap at the moment, but I think I\'d advise you to stay in a hostel instead. More craic! I\'ll try to think of more things to do/see. If you have any more q\'s let me know!

Hi, Are you looking for places and things in Dublin to see, or are you interested in places outside of Dublin too? I\'ll get my thinking cap on and try to think of some places! :-) How many nights will you be here for? And do you know roughly what dates? I can check with sort of things are on around Dublin for those dates for you.
