Bus is usually the cheapest but train is a far nicer way to travel. Look into different inter-rail options and tickets. www.interrail.net is one is one and www.raileurope.com is another. Also check out www.busabout.com. Re cities, three that people always visit together are Prague, Budapest and Vienna. For tips on all cities click on \'guides\' and then \'free pocket guides\'. Thanks, Colm
I\'ve mainly travelled in North America and Oz and NZ but in Europe I like Paris, Stockholm and Venice but my experience is a bit limited on independent travel in Europe. Hope that helps a bit xx
I am in Florence at the moment and have felt safe. As long as you know where the bad areas are and avoid them, you will be fine xx
Hi Lisa, On my travels I\'ve encountered loads of female travellers on their own. I haven\'t been to any city yet where I didn\'t feel safe. All cities natuarally have bad areas, but once you steer clear of them you\'d be ok. Where are you planning on travelling to? Thanks, Colm
